Ranked puzzles · monthly
Leaderboard
In ranked puzzles every player gets their own answer, so the points have to be earned. The boards start from zero on the first day of each month.

How points work
- Ranked puzzles run in Classic, Skill (where the clue is an icon) and Material, one a day in each mode. Your answer is picked for your account.
- A first-try solve is worth 100 points. Each extra guess takes 10 off, but a solve always gets at least 10. Running out of guesses or time gives 0.
- You get one minute from the start, and every miss adds 10 s. The server keeps the clock, and it keeps running if you switch tabs.
- Solving the same mode on consecutive days adds 5 points for each day of the run, up to 25.
- The overall board adds up every game. Ties go to more solves, then fewer guesses, then less time on the solved puzzles, then whoever reached the score first.
- New puzzles start at midnight UTC. Results that look automated get checked and can be removed.
Questions
Do the daily puzzles count?
No. The daily puzzles stay in your browser. Only ranked puzzles, played while signed in, give points.
Why is my answer different from my friends'?
In ranked play everyone gets their own character for the day, so passing on an answer does nothing. The daily puzzles are still the same for everyone.
How much time do I get in ranked play?
One minute from the start, and every miss adds 10 seconds. When the time runs out, the puzzle ends as if you used your last guess, with no points. The daily puzzles have no time limit.
How do I hide my name?
Sign in and untick "Show me on the leaderboard" in the name settings on this page. Your points still count, but the boards show "Hidden player" instead. The setting stays until you change it.
