Guide
How the kit works
Start with Relentless Squall, then press Normal Attack to use Cloudburst Dance (Mid-air Attack). Its two hits deal Aero DMG counted as Resonance Skill DMG and heal nearby teammates. The Intro gives 20 Windstrings, and each Cloudburst Dance hit gives another 25.
On the ground, Awakening Gale (Skill) launches Rover into the air. Press Normal Attack right afterward for another Cloudburst Dance. You can also enter it after Razor Wind (Heavy Attack), which you trigger by holding Normal Attack after Basic Attack Stage 3, a Dodge Counter or a Heavy Attack.
Rover holds up to 120 Windstrings. Basic Attack Stage 3 or 4 and Dodge Counter each restore 10 on hit. At the maximum, Awakening Gale becomes Unbound Flow (Skill): each of its two attacks spends 60 Windstrings. Switch characters after the first attack and the second triggers automatically.
Use Skyfall Severance (Skill) in mid-air to remove Spectro Frazzle, Havoc Bane, Fusion Burst, Glacio Chafe and Electro Flare from the target. Each removed stack becomes one Aero Erosion stack. Omega Storm deals Aero DMG and heals nearby teammates; you can also cast it in mid-air close to the ground.
Storm's Echo grants nearby teammates Aeolian Realm for 30 seconds. Their hits increase the target's Aero Erosion stack limit by 3 for 10 seconds; that increase does not stack.
Build and why
Use five pieces of Rejuvenating Glow. Its listed two-piece effect gives 10% Healing Bonus, which suits Rover's team healing. The supplied set data does not describe the five-piece effect, so don't assume an extra bonus from it.
Bloodpact's Pledge is the first weapon choice. Providing healing increases Resonance Skill DMG by 10% for 6 seconds. Casting Unbound Flow (Skill) also amplifies Aero DMG dealt by nearby on-field Resonators by 10% for 30 seconds.
Emerald of Genesis is an alternative: it gives 12.8% Energy Regen, and casting a Resonance Skill gives 6% ATK for 10 seconds, stacking twice. Overture restores 8 Concerto Energy when you cast a Resonance Skill, once every 20 seconds. Its effect is useful when you want to reach the Outro.
Leveling priority
As a suggested order, level Cycle of Wind first because it contains both Cloudburst Dance and Unbound Flow. Put Illusion Breaker next for its damage, followed by Omega Storm, which damages enemies and heals the team. Wind Cutter and Relentless Squall can follow.
For ascension to the maximum, collect 170,000 × Shell Credit, 4 × LF Whisperin Core, 12 × MF Whisperin Core, 12 × HF Whisperin Core, 4 × FF Whisperin Core, 5 × Mysterious Code and 60 × Pecok Flower.
To level all skills to the maximum, you need 2,030,000 × Shell Credit, 25 × LF Tidal Residuum, 28 × MF Tidal Residuum, 40 × HF Tidal Residuum, 57 × FF Tidal Residuum and 26 × When Irises Bloom. You also need 25 × Inert Metallic Drip, 28 × Reactive Metallic Drip, 55 × Polarized Metallic Drip and 67 × Heterized Metallic Drip.
Resonance Chain nodes worth it
For a support build, Glimmers Fade into the Dark (Sequence 2) is a good first upgrade to consider. Unbound Flow (Skill) restores the on-field character's HP every 3 seconds for 30 seconds, based on 20% of Rover's ATK. Below 35% HP, that character also receives 10% of their lost HP immediately. This emergency heal triggers at most once every 10 seconds and is unaffected by Healing Bonus.
For damage, consider All Crumble in the Wind (Sequence 6), which raises Unbound Flow's DMG Multiplier by 30%, then Boundaries Shatter in an Instant (Sequence 4), which gives 15% Resonance Skill DMG Bonus for 5 seconds after Cloudburst Dance (Mid-air Attack).
Storm Subsides in the Void (Sequence 1) only adds interruption resistance after Cloudburst Dance, so it can wait if you don't need that comfort. Sequence 3 adds Aero DMG Bonus and Sequence 5 raises the Liberation's DMG Multiplier; neither adds the team healing of Sequence 2.
Teams
Pair Rover with an Aero damage dealer and, if you want to use the higher stack limit, a teammate who can apply Aero Erosion. Jiyan, Ciaccona, Cartethyia and Iuno are named teammate options. Rover brings healing and can raise the target's stack limit through Storm's Echo.
Bloodpact's Pledge gives the team another reason to favor Aero damage. In mixed-element teams, be deliberate with Skyfall Severance (Skill): converting the listed effects removes them from the target rather than leaving them alongside Aero Erosion.
Common mistakes
Don't leave the field as soon as Rover enters without using Cloudburst Dance (Mid-air Attack). Its hits heal and build Windstrings. If you switch after the first hit of Unbound Flow (Skill), though, its second hit triggers automatically.
Don't assume the higher Aero Erosion limit lasts for the full 30 seconds of Aeolian Realm without a hit. A teammate's hit grants the increase for 10 seconds, and repeated increases do not stack.
Don't treat every heal as equally affected by Healing Bonus. The emergency restoration from Sequence 2 has its own restriction. Also check enemy effects before using Skyfall Severance (Skill), especially when your team relies on one of the effects it removes.
