Guide
How the kit works
If Scroll of Wonders is available when Youhu enters, use its Lucky Draw to get an Antique. Her next Basic Attack triggers the corresponding Antique Appraisal (Skill), granting one Auspice. Appraise an Antique before drawing another: Youhu can hold only one, and a new draw replaces it.
Scroll Divination deals Glacio DMG, heals nearby party members and draws an Antique. Appraisals have different effects: Chime reduces Vibration Strength, Ruyi has a higher damage multiplier, Ding is effective at breaking stance, and Mask pulls enemies along its path. Treasured Piece also heals nearby party members when an Appraisal is cast, based on 30% of Scroll Divination’s healing.
At four Auspices, hold Basic Attack to cast Poetic Essence. It deals Glacio DMG, heals nearby party members and consumes the Auspices. Four different types reduce Vibration Strength; one pair gives 70% more damage; two pairs add healing; three identical types give 175% more damage. Four identical types combine the effects of four different types, two pairs and three identical types.
Fortune’s Favor (Liberation) deals area Glacio DMG and lets you choose an Antique using one of four buttons. If you do not choose in time, the Antique is random. Use this choice to work toward a combination you want.
Frosty Punches builds Frost when Basic Attacks hit. You can also hold Basic Attack to enter Fortune Rolling and restore Frost over time. At full Frost, Frostfall (Heavy Attack) deals Glacio DMG and draws an Antique. A Dodge Counter can draw one too, but only when Youhu holds no Antique. Finish by passing Timeless Classics to the next Resonator for 100% Coordinated Attack DMG Amplification for 28 seconds.
Build and why
Rejuvenating Glow is the first set to consider for a healing build: its two-piece bonus gives 10% Healing Bonus. Youhu has healing on her Skill, her Forte and a passive, so that bonus fits the way she supports the party.
Freezing Frost is an alternative if you want Glacio damage. Its two-piece bonus gives 10% Glacio DMG. The game suggests five pieces, but the supplied set data does not describe the five-piece effect, so do not assume what that extra bonus does.
Abyss Surges is the first weapon choice. It gives 12.8% Energy Regen; a Resonance Skill hit grants 10% Basic Attack DMG Bonus, while a Basic Attack hit grants 10% Resonance Skill DMG Bonus. Each bonus lasts eight seconds, fitting Youhu’s use of both attack types.
Marcato is a support option: casting Resonance Skill restores 8 Concerto Energy, once every 20 seconds. Celestial Spiral is another option; casting the Skill grants 6 Resonance Energy and 10% ATK for 16 seconds, once every 20 seconds. No main-stat or substat recommendations are supplied, and the data does not state what Youhu’s healing scales with.
Leveling priority
For a healing-focused build, I suggest leveling Scroll Divination first. It provides direct party healing and sets the healing basis for Treasured Piece. Poetic Essence is a good second priority because it combines party healing with damage.
Fortune’s Favor (Liberation) is a reasonable next choice for its area attack. Follow it with Frosty Punches, then Scroll of Wonders. The Intro’s listed effect is a Lucky Draw, so there is no listed damage or healing reason to put it ahead of the others.
For maximum character ascension, gather 170,000 Shell Credit, 4 Crude Ring, 12 Basic Ring, 12 Improved Ring, 4 Tailored Ring, 46 Topological Confinement and 60 Violet Coral.
To max all skills, gather 2,030,000 Shell Credit, 25 Crude Ring, 28 Basic Ring, 40 Improved Ring, 57 Tailored Ring, 26 Monument Bell, 25 Cadence Seed, 28 Cadence Bud, 55 Cadence Leaf and 67 Cadence Blossom.
Resonance Chain nodes worth it
For Resonance Chain upgrades, Sunroom Siesta (Sequence 2) is a good first target. It doubles the damage bonuses from Antithesis, Triplet and Perfect Rhyme on Poetic Essence. You still need the matching Auspice combination to get those effects.
Slumber Evermore (Sequence 6) is worth considering for damage. Each Antique Appraisal (Skill) grants a stack lasting seven seconds, up to four stacks; each stack gives 15% Crit. DMG. Frosted Lullaby (Sequence 4) is another option, with a 20% chance for Scroll Divination not to enter cooldown when cast.
These are optional upgrades rather than requirements. Waterside Respite (Sequence 1) has only a 10% chance to grant damage and interruption immunity after Lucky Draw, so you can leave it as a lower priority. Restless Sleep (Sequence 3) gives 20% ATK, while Dreamland Meander (Sequence 5) gives 15% Crit. Rate for 14 seconds after Scroll of Wonders; consider them if those bonuses suit your build.
Teams
Youhu wants a teammate who can use the Coordinated Attack DMG Amplification from Timeless Classics. The listed effect has no element requirement, so choose around the attack type rather than forcing a particular element. Her healing gives the party support while she collects Auspices.
Zhezhi, Mortefi and Yinlin are teammates named by the guides and are worth trying alongside her. Check which character will make use of the Outro before deciding whom to bring in after Youhu; the supplied roster does not describe those characters’ skills.
Common mistakes
Do not draw a new Antique while holding one you still want to appraise. The new Antique replaces it, so you lose the chance to turn the old one into an Auspice. This also matters when using Fortune’s Favor (Liberation) to choose a specific Antique.
Do not ignore the four Auspices once you have them. Hold Basic Attack for Poetic Essence to deal damage and heal, then start collecting again. Watch the combination rather than assuming every cast gets the same bonus.
Do not pass Timeless Classics to a teammate expecting it to amplify every kind of damage. Its listed bonus is for Coordinated Attack DMG. When building Youhu, also avoid assuming an unlisted five-piece set effect or a healing scaling stat.
