How the kit works
Before a fight, use Behold, the King of Knights for 35% ATK for two turns and two Core Resonance at the start of the next battle. Dragon Reactor Core gives another point on entering combat. Each ally Ultimate grants three points and increases Saber’s damage by 60% for two turns.
Use Strike Air: Hammer of the Wind King on your chosen target. It deals 150% of ATK as Wind DMG to that enemy and 75% to adjacent targets. Normally it grants three Core Resonance. If the points can fully refill her Energy after the attack, it instead consumes them all: each point restores 8 Energy and raises that Skill’s damage multiplier by 14%.
Excalibur (Ult) deals 280% of ATK to all enemies, followed by ten random hits worth 110% of ATK each. It forces the next Basic to become Release, the Golden Scepter. That attack grants two Core Resonance and hits all enemies for 150% of ATK, with an extra hit against all enemies if only one or two remain.
Knight of the Dragon grants 20% CRIT Rate and Mana Burst on entering combat or using the enhanced Basic. If Saber has enough Core Resonance to fully refill Energy through her Skill, Mana Burst is consumed to recover one Skill Point and give her an immediate action. Blessing of the Lake stores up to 120 overflow Energy for after her Ultimate. Crown of the Star raises CRIT DMG when she uses Skill and gains Core Resonance.
Build and why
For relics, start with four-piece Wavestrider Captain. Its 16% CRIT DMG helps Saber’s attacks, and two stacks gained when allies target her give her 48% ATK for one turn when she uses her Ultimate. Four-piece Scholar Lost in Erudition is another option: it raises Skill and Ultimate damage, then gives the next Skill a further boost after Ultimate.
For planar ornaments, Cosmic Life Sciences Institute increases damage based on Max Energy above 200, up to 32%. Inert Salsotto is an alternative with 8% CRIT Rate and 15% Ultimate damage once current CRIT Rate reaches 50%.
The game lists CRIT Rate or CRIT DMG on the body, ATK Percentage or SPD on the feet, Wind DMG Boost or ATK Percentage on the sphere, and ATK Percentage or Energy Regeneration Rate on the rope. Its substat order is CRIT Rate, CRIT DMG, ATK Percentage, then SPD. Account for the 20% CRIT Rate from Knight of the Dragon when choosing gear.
A Thankless Coronation is the first Light Cone choice: it gives 36% CRIT DMG and 40% ATK when Saber uses Ultimate. At 300 or more Max Energy, it also restores Energy and grants another 40% ATK. On the Fall of an Aeon builds ATK as Saber attacks. Thus Burns the Dawn is another option with base SPD, DEF ignore and a damage boost after Ultimate.
Leveling priority
The game’s leveling order puts Strike Air: Hammer of the Wind King first and Excalibur second. Both deal Wind damage and are central to the rotation. Invisible Air: Barrier of the Wind King comes third, followed by Dragon Reactor Core.
For maximum ascension, you need 308,000 Credit, 65 A Glass of the Besotted Era, and 15 each of Thief’s Instinct, Usurper’s Scheme and Conqueror’s Will.
For all skills, the listed total is 3,000,000 Credit, 8 Tracks of Destiny, 18 Borisin Teeth, 69 Lupitoxin Sawteeth, 139 Moon Rage Fang, 12 Destroyer’s Final Road, 41 Thief’s Instinct, 56 Usurper’s Scheme and 58 Conqueror’s Will.
Eidolons worth it
The Long Fated Night is worth considering for its large Energy effect: after the first Ultimate in battle it restores 300 Energy, with the effect able to trigger once after every three Ultimate uses. It also raises the overflow Energy limit to 200 and gives Ultimate damage 20% Wind RES PEN.
The Lost Oath of the Round Table is an earlier stopping point to consider. Each Core Resonance point gained in battle adds 1% DEF ignore, up to 15%, and each point spent to boost Skill adds another 7% to its multiplier.
The Lost White Walls is a smaller stopping point: it raises Ultimate damage by 60% and grants a Core Resonance point after a Basic or Skill. You can stop there or at E2 rather than continue through later upgrades. E3 and E5 raise ability levels; you cannot skip them if you want E6.
Common mistakes
Don’t assume every Skill consumes Core Resonance. It only does so when the points can fully refill Saber’s Energy after that attack; otherwise she gains three points. Check her Energy before planning the next action.
Don’t plan to use Skill immediately after Excalibur: the enhanced Basic is the only available action for that slot. Also check set conditions. Wavestrider Captain needs ally abilities to target Saber, while Inert Salsotto needs 50% current CRIT Rate for its Ultimate bonus.
