Guide
How the kit works
Before a fight, use Gentle Breeze to give Tingyun 50 Energy. Once combat starts, use Soothing Melody on the ally you want to support. It grants Benediction for 3 turns and increases the ally's ATK by 50%, capped at 25% of Tingyun's current ATK.
When the ally with Benediction attacks, they deal Lightning Additional DMG once, equal to 40% of their ATK. Only the most recent recipient of Tingyun's Skill can have Benediction, so using it on someone else replaces the previous buff.
Use Dislodged between Skill uses. It deals Lightning DMG equal to 100% of Tingyun's ATK to one enemy. Violet Sparknado makes the ally with Benediction immediately deal Lightning Additional DMG equal to 60% of their ATK to the same enemy when Tingyun attacks.
Use Amidst the Rejoicing Clouds on an ally who needs Energy or can make good use of the DMG increase. It restores 50 Energy and increases that target's DMG by 50% for 2 turns. The Ultimate can target a different ally from the one holding Benediction.
Build and why
For relics, use four pieces of Sacerdos' Relived Ordeal. Its two-piece bonus gives 6% SPD. When Tingyun uses her Skill or Ultimate on one ally, the four-piece bonus gives that ally 18% CRIT DMG for 2 turns, stacking up to twice. Both abilities can therefore apply the bonus. Messenger Traversing Hackerspace is an alternative: its four-piece effect gives all allies 12% SPD for 1 turn after Tingyun uses her Ultimate on an ally.
Pair the relics with Sprightly Vonwacq for 5% Energy Regeneration Rate. At 120 SPD, it also advances Tingyun's action by 40% when she enters battle. Broken Keel is another option: it gives 10% Effect RES and, at 30% Effect RES, gives all allies 10% CRIT DMG.
Choose ATK Percentage on the body and sphere, SPD on the feet and Energy Regeneration Rate on the rope. For substats, look for SPD first, then ATK Percentage and Effect RES. ATK helps raise the cap on Benediction's ATK buff; Energy Regeneration Rate helps Tingyun get back to her Ultimate.
A Grounded Ascent is the first Light Cone to consider. Her single-target Skill and Ultimate regenerate 6 Energy for her and grant their target a stack of Hymn. Each stack gives 15% DMG for 3 turns, up to three stacks; every two uses also recover 1 Skill Point. Dance! Dance! Dance! advances all allies' actions by 16% when she uses her Ultimate. Meshing Cogs is a 3-star option that restores 4 Energy when she attacks or is hit, once per turn.
Leveling priority
Follow the game's Trace order: Soothing Melody, Amidst the Rejoicing Clouds, Violet Sparknado, then Dislodged. The Skill is Tingyun's main ATK buff, while the Ultimate supplies Energy and a DMG increase. The Talent adds damage when Tingyun attacks, and the Basic is less central to her support.
For maximum ascension, prepare 246,400 Credit, 50 Lightning Crown of the Past Shadow, 12 Immortal Scionette, 13 Immortal Aeroblossom and 12 Immortal Lumintwig.
Maxing all skills takes a separate 2,400,000 Credit, 5 Tracks of Destiny, 12 Harmonic Tune, 54 Ancestral Hymn, 105 Stellaris Symphony and 12 Destroyer's Final Road. It also takes 28 Immortal Scionette, 42 Immortal Aeroblossom and 42 Immortal Lumintwig.
Eidolons worth it
For Eidolons, Peace Brings Wealth to All is a good upgrade to look at: it adds 10 Energy to the Ultimate, bringing its restoration to 60 at the listed skill value. Jovial Versatility is another option to value because it increases the DMG multiplier provided by Benediction by 20%.
Windfall of Lucky Springs is useful to consider if the ally with Benediction can use the speed. After that ally uses their Ultimate, they gain 20% SPD for 1 turn. Gainfully Gives, Givingly Gains gives the buffed ally 5 Energy after they defeat an enemy, with a limit of once per turn.
Halcyon Bequest raises Ultimate by two levels and Basic by one. Sauntering Coquette raises Skill and Talent by two levels each. You can place less emphasis on these level increases if you are looking for a change in how the buffs work; they do not need to be separate targets.
Teams
Give Tingyun a primary damage dealer who wants an ATK buff and Energy. Argenti, Phainon and Seele are examples to consider. Keep Benediction on the ally whose attacks you want to strengthen, then choose the Ultimate target according to who needs its Energy and DMG bonus.
A second support can add to the team's buffs. Sunday, Cerydra and Sparkle are options named for Tingyun. Add sustain as well: Huohuo or Natasha can fill that role.
Tingyun does not require a particular teammate's combat type. A Lightning damage dealer is worth considering when you use Penacony, Land of the Dreams, which gives other allies of Tingyun's type 10% DMG, or Planetary Rendezvous, which increases matching-type DMG by 12%.
Common mistakes
Don't put Soothing Melody on a second ally expecting both to keep Benediction. The new recipient replaces the old one. Check the buff's remaining duration and refresh it on the ally you want to support.
Don't ignore Tingyun's ATK when building her: the Skill's ATK increase has a cap based on her current ATK. At the same time, don't give up SPD and Energy Regeneration Rate without a reason, since she wants turns and access to her Ultimate.
Don't assume a matching-type bonus helps every damage dealer. Penacony, Land of the Dreams and Planetary Rendezvous reward matching combat types. Also check the SPD and Effect RES thresholds before relying on the extra effects from Sprightly Vonwacq or Broken Keel.
