Guide
How the kit works
Before combat, use Unreliable Narrator to give the team Misdirect for 20 seconds. Enemies cannot detect characters with Misdirect. Entering combat while it is active recovers 3 Skill Points and gives Sparkle 20 Energy.
Use Dreamdiver on the ally you want to support. It gives them CRIT DMG equal to 24% of Sparkle's CRIT DMG plus 45% for 2 turns and advances their action by 50%. Sparkle can target herself, but doing so does not advance her action. Almanac gives her 1 Energy when an ally with this Skill's CRIT DMG boost spends a Skill Point.
Red Herring raises the maximum Skill Points by 2 while Sparkle is on the battlefield. Each Skill Point an ally consumes gives Sparkle a stack of Figment. Each stack makes all enemies take 4% more DMG for 2 turns, up to 3 stacks. The Hero with a Thousand Faces recovers 6 Skill Points and gives the team Cipher for 3 turns. For allies with Cipher, each Figment stack increases enemies' DMG taken by another 6%.
The Ultimate records up to 10 excess Skill Points from its recovery. At the end of an ally's turn, it uses recorded points to refill the team's Skill Points up to the limit. Use Monodrama when you need a basic attack: it deals Quantum DMG equal to 100% of Sparkle's ATK to one enemy, and Almanac gives Sparkle 10 extra Energy. If an ally spends 3 or more Skill Points in one turn, Artificial Flower makes Sparkle's next Skill free.
Build and why
Use four pieces of Sacerdos' Relived Ordeal. Two give Sparkle 6% SPD, while four give a single ally targeted by her Skill or Ultimate 18% CRIT DMG for 2 turns, stacking twice. Messenger Traversing Hackerspace is another option for team SPD. Eagle of Twilight Line advances Sparkle's action by 25% after her Ultimate, although its two-piece Wind DMG bonus does not help her Quantum damage.
For the planar set, Broken Keel gives 10% Effect RES and, at 30% Effect RES or higher, gives all allies 10% CRIT DMG. Lushaka, the Sunken Seas gives 5% Energy Regeneration Rate and raises the first character's ATK by 12% if Sparkle is not first in the lineup. Penacony, Land of the Dreams is an option with other Quantum allies: it gives Sparkle 5% Energy Regeneration Rate and those allies 10% DMG.
Choose CRIT DMG on the body, SPD on the feet, HP Percentage or DEF Percentage on the sphere and Energy Regeneration Rate on the rope. For substats, prioritize CRIT DMG, then SPD, then Effect RES. CRIT DMG strengthens Dreamdiver's buff, while Effect RES helps meet Broken Keel's requirement.
Leveling priority
Follow the game's order: Dreamdiver (Skill), The Hero with a Thousand Faces, Red Herring, then Monodrama. The Skill comes first for its ally buff. The Ultimate and Talent improve the team's damage support, while the Basic is mainly there for a single-target hit.
For maximum ascension, you need 308,000 Credit, 65 Dream Flamer, 15 Tatters of Thought, 15 Fragments of Impression and 15 Shards of Desires. Maxing all skills takes 3,000,000 Credit, 8 Tracks of Destiny, 18 Firmament Note, 69 Celestial Section, 139 Heavenly Melody, 12 Past Evils of the Borehole Planet Disaster, 41 Tatters of Thought, 56 Fragments of Impression and 58 Shards of Desires.
Eidolons worth it
Narrative Polysemy is a major upgrade to consider if you want to support several damage dealers. It adds 30% of Sparkle's CRIT DMG to her Skill's boost and lets that boost reach teammates with Cipher when she uses her Skill or Ultimate under its stated conditions.
Purely Fictitious is another strong option: each Talent stack reduces enemy DEF by 10%, up to 30% at three stacks. Suspension of Disbelief gives allies with Cipher 40% ATK and gives Sparkle 15% SPD for 2 turns at battle start or when she uses her Skill.
Life Is a Gamble adds one Skill Point to the Ultimate's recovery and one to the maximum, so consider it if your team wants more room for points. Pipedream (E3) and Parallax Truth raise skill levels. You can skip the later Eidolons if the base kit already supplies enough points and support for your team.
Teams
Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae is another teammate to consider, with Huohuo as a sustain option. A second support such as Tingyun can occupy the remaining slot. Sparkle brings Skill Points and teamwide ATK, while her chosen Skill target also gets CRIT DMG and All-Type RES PEN.
Common mistakes
Do not expect Dreamdiver to advance Sparkle when she targets herself. Put it on the ally whose action and CRIT DMG you want to improve. If an ally has spent at least 3 Skill Points in one turn, remember that Artificial Flower makes Sparkle's next Skill free.
Do not dismiss an Ultimate just because Skill Points are near the limit: it can record up to 10 points that overflow from its recovery. On the build, check that Sparkle has at least 30% Effect RES before counting on Broken Keel's team CRIT DMG bonus, and keep her out of the first lineup slot if you use Lushaka, the Sunken Seas for its ATK boost.
