How Kaption shows Aventurine • Waveflair in Polish: "I dlatego zastanawiam się. Czy ktoś lub coś „zjadło” moje szczęście?"

At a glance

Aventurine • Waveflair is a Quantum character on the Elation path who deals damage to all enemies and adds extra hits against random targets. His Skill, Ultimate and teammates' attacks build resources for his Elation Skill.

He also gives the team CRIT DMG after teammates attack. A second Elation character changes his passive bonuses, but he can work as the team's only Elation character too. Bring a teammate who can keep the party alive.

Guide

How the kit works

Start a fight with Make Waves in Still Waters when you can. It moves Aventurine • Waveflair forward, blocks incoming attacks and hits enemies in contact. Entering combat by attacking deals Quantum DMG to all enemies and grants 2 Fervor and 20 Certified Banger. If it hits nobody, it consumes no Technique Point.

Use Kill Shot, the Sands Boil to hit all enemies for 240% of ATK and gain 4 Punchline and 4 Fervor. Grand Slam, Crest That High Tide deals 400% of ATK to all enemies, gives 6 Punchline and 8 Fervor, and raises his SPD by 30% for 4 turns. While he has Certified Banger, both attacks deal extra Quantum Elation DMG.

Ante Up, the Abyss Answers grants 1 Fervor and 1 Punchline after a teammate attacks. At 10 Fervor, it immediately triggers Cheers! To Summer's Blaze, taking a fixed 20 Punchline into account. It also enhances his next Elation Skill in the Aha Instant into All In! To Summer's Blaze. That attack consumes all Fervor and adds a random hit for each point consumed; Fervor normally caps at 30.

Sift Through Gilded Dreams gives him 48% CRIT DMG. After a teammate uses a Basic ATK, Skill, Follow-Up ATK or Ultimate, it gives all allies 48% CRIT DMG for 3 turns and grants him 2 Fervor. It can trigger six times, with the count resetting when he uses his Skill.

Build and why

Use four pieces of Ever-Glorious Magical Girl with two pieces of Punklorde Stage Zero. The relic set gives CRIT DMG and lets Elation DMG ignore DEF, with more DEF ignored as allies accumulate Punchline. The planar set gives Elation and grants CRIT DMG when its Elation thresholds are reached.

Genius of Brilliant Stars is an alternative relic set: it boosts Quantum DMG and ignores more DEF against enemies with Quantum Weakness. Diviner of Distant Reach is another option if you want SPD and its team Elation bonus. For a planar alternative, Duran, Dynasty of Running Wolves rewards allied Follow-Up ATKs; its Follow-Up ATK damage bonus fits the passive route where Aventurine • Waveflair is the only Elation character.

Pick CRIT Rate or CRIT DMG on the body, SPD on the feet, Quantum DMG Boost or HP Percentage on the sphere, and Energy Regeneration Rate on the rope. Quantum DMG Boost fits his attacks; HP Percentage is the listed alternative. For substats, look for CRIT Rate, then CRIT DMG, then SPD. Party in Perfect Paradise gives him 30% Elation at 140 SPD and more for each point above that threshold.

Summer Rides the Surf is the first weapon choice. It gives CRIT Rate and SPD, and can grant Elation when consecutive Elation Skills differ. Today's Good Luck is the next option, with CRIT Rate and stacking Elation after Elation Skill uses. Welcome to the Cosmic City is another option: its SPD and DEF ignore both suit this kit.

Leveling priority

Follow the game's order: level Cheers! To Summer's Blaze first, then Kill Shot, the Sands Boil, Grand Slam, Crest That High Tide, Ante Up, the Abyss Answers and finally Dead Center, the Torrent Hits. The early priorities improve the Elation Skill and his attacks against all enemies.

For ascension you need Credit, Sneering Harlequin, Tatters of Thought, Fragments of Impression and Shards of Desires. Skill upgrades also use Tracks of Destiny, The Fluffy Hand-drawn Storyboards, The Fluffy Serialization Memorial Issue, The Fluffy Collector's Edition and High Hopes of the Falsely Enlightened, alongside Credit and the Thought, Impression and Desires materials.

Eidolons worth it

A Holiday on the Line is the first Eidolon to look at. It gives 24% All-Type RES PEN and makes the Talent trigger Cheers! To Summer's Blaze at 10, 20 and 30 Fervor. Idle as the Turning Tide raises the cap to 50, adds triggers at 40 and 50, and gives 4 Fervor after an Elation Skill.

Sunlight Runs No Tab lets all allies' damage ignore 18% of enemy DEF for 3 turns after his Skill. The Past in Fast Lane makes subsequent Elation Skills become All In! To Summer's Blaze after he uses two Elation Skills. A Rendezvous Served Chilled and Into the Eye of the Jackpot raise skill levels rather than adding a separate effect, so stopping before them is reasonable if you do not need the later Eidolons.

Teams

If he is the only Elation character at the start, that passive instead counts his Elation Skill damage as a Follow-Up ATK. Teammate attacks also give him Certified Banger and Punchline and raise Aha's SPD until the end of Aha Instant. The kit does not require a particular teammate element.

Common mistakes

Do not build around an assumed summon bonus. The extra CRIT DMG on The Wondrous BananAmusement Park requires a target summoned by the wearer to be on the field, and no summon is listed in this kit.

Do not overlook SPD: the 140 threshold activates the first Elation bonus from Party in Perfect Paradise. Also watch Fervor's cap and remember that All In! To Summer's Blaze consumes it. Without another Elation teammate, the passive bonuses change, so check which version your team activates at the start of battle.
