Healer and debuff cleanser

Luocha from Honkai: Star Rail with a Kaption Polish subtitle
How Kaption shows Luocha in Polish: "Pamiętam, że Xianzhou ma zwyczaj grzebania zmarłych blisko domu, prawda?"

At a glance

Luocha is an Imaginary Abundance character who keeps the team alive through direct healing and a Zone that restores HP when allies attack. His healing scales with his ATK, so an offensive stat helps his main job.

His automatic heal can activate without spending a Skill Point when an ally falls to 50% HP or lower. He can also remove a debuff from an ally and strip one buff from every enemy. He is a good fit for teams whose allies attack while they need healing.

Guide

How the kit works

Before battle, use Mercy of a Fool to trigger Cycle of Life as the fight starts. The Talent creates a Zone that lasts two turns. Normally, you create it by collecting two stacks of Abyss Flower, which are consumed when the Zone appears.

Prayer of Abyss Flower heals one ally for 60% of Luocha's ATK plus 800 and gives him one stack. Its equivalent also triggers automatically when an ally drops to 50% HP or lower, without consuming a Skill Point. That automatic effect can trigger again after two turns. With Cleansing Revival, the Skill's effect also removes one debuff from the target.

Death Wish removes one buff from all enemies, deals Imaginary DMG equal to 200% of Luocha's ATK to each of them and grants one stack. Use it alongside the Skill to build Abyss Flower. Thorns of the Abyss deals Imaginary DMG equal to 100% of his ATK to one enemy.

When an ally attacks an enemy in the Zone, the attacker recovers HP equal to 18% of Luocha's ATK plus 240. With Sanctified, the other allies also recover HP equal to 7% of his ATK plus 93. The Zone disappears if Luocha is knocked down.

Build and why

For relics, use four pieces of Warrior Goddess of Sun and Thunder. Its two-piece effect gives 6% SPD. Healing an ally other than Luocha activates its four-piece effect, giving him another 6% SPD and the team 15% CRIT DMG for two turns. Passerby of Wandering Cloud is an alternative with 10% Outgoing Healing from two pieces and one Skill Point at the start of battle from four.

For planar ornaments, Giant Tree of Rapt Brooding gives 6% SPD and raises Outgoing Healing by 12% at 135 SPD or 20% at 180 SPD. Broken Keel is another option: it gives 10% Effect RES and, at 30% Effect RES, gives allies 10% CRIT DMG.

Use Outgoing Healing Boost or ATK Percentage on the body, SPD on the feet, ATK Percentage on the sphere, and ATK Percentage or Energy Regeneration Rate on the rope. For substats, the game's order is ATK Percentage, SPD, then Effect RES.

Echoes of the Coffin is the first Light Cone choice. It gives ATK, restores Energy for different enemies hit and gives allies SPD after Luocha uses his Ultimate. Night of Fright offers Energy Regeneration Rate and healing when an ally uses an Ultimate; its healing also gives the healed ally a stacking ATK increase. Perfect Timing gives Effect RES and converts part of that stat into Outgoing Healing.

Leveling priority

Follow the game's order: Cycle of Life, Prayer of Abyss Flower, Thorns of the Abyss, then Death Wish. The Talent supplies healing through attacks in the Zone, while the Skill covers a single ally directly. Basic comes before Ult in the game's order, though the Ult still matters for its Abyss Flower stack and buff removal.

For full ascension, you need 308,000 Credit, 65 Golden Crown of the Past Shadow, and 15 each of Artifex's Module, Artifex's Cogwheel and Artifex's Gyreheart.

For all skills, you need 3,000,000 Credit, 8 Tracks of Destiny, 18 Seed of Abundance, 69 Sprout of Life, 139 Flower of Eternity, 12 Guardian's Lament, 41 Artifex's Module, 56 Artifex's Cogwheel and 58 Artifex's Gyreheart.

Eidolons worth it

A useful Eidolon order to consider is Ablution of the Quick, Heavy Lies the Crown, then Reunion With the Dust. E1 gives all allies 20% ATK while the Zone is active. E4 makes enemies in the Zone deal 12% less DMG. E6 gives the Ultimate a 100% fixed chance to reduce all enemies' All-Type RES by 20% for two turns.

Bestowal From the Pure adds more protection: when the Skill triggers below 50% HP, Luocha gains 30% Outgoing Healing; at 50% HP or higher, the target gets a two-turn Shield. The exact 50% boundary matters because the automatic Skill can trigger there, while E2's healing increase requires less than 50%.

You can leave E3 and E5 alone if you are looking for effects that change how the kit supports the team. They raise skill levels rather than adding the team ATK, damage reduction or resistance reduction of the suggested nodes.

Common mistakes

Do not rely on the automatic heal for every emergency. It has a two-turn wait before it can trigger again, so check ally HP and use Prayer of Abyss Flower directly when needed. Also remember that the Zone ends if Luocha is knocked down.

Do not assume every support set activates with his Ultimate. Messenger Traversing Hackerspace requires an Ultimate used on an ally for its four-piece effect, but Death Wish targets enemies. Watch the SPD thresholds on Giant Tree of Rapt Brooding and the Effect RES threshold on Broken Keel before counting on their extra effects.
