Guide
How the kit works
Start with Master, It's Tea Time! to designate an ally as Shifu and give them 10% SPD. Only the latest target keeps that role. My Sword Zaps Demons deals Imaginary DMG and gives March 1 Charge. Her Shifu's attacks and Ultimates give her up to 1 Charge each time.
Master, I've Ascended! triggers at 7 Charge: March immediately acts, gains 80% DMG and replaces her Basic with Brows Be Smitten, Heart Be Bitten. It starts with 3 hits and can add up to 3 more, with a 60% fixed chance on each final hit. It consumes 7 Charge and cannot recover Skill Points. Charge caps at 10.
March 7th, the Apex Heroine deals single-target Imaginary DMG and strengthens the next Enhanced Basic ATK: it starts with 2 more hits and its chance for extra hits rises by 20%. Use it before that attack when possible. Feast in One Go gives March 30 Energy at the start of the next battle; teammates' Techniques can give her up to 3 starting Charge.
Build and why
For relics, use 4 pieces of Musketeer of Wild Wheat. Its ATK and SPD suit March, while its 4-piece bonus increases Basic ATK DMG by 10%. Pair it with Rutilant Arena: it gives 8% CRIT Rate and, at 70% CRIT Rate, increases Basic ATK and Skill DMG by 20%. Wastelander of Banditry Desert is another relic option, with bonuses that depend on debuffed or Imprisoned targets.
Choose CRIT Rate or CRIT DMG on the body, SPD on the feet, Imaginary DMG Boost on the sphere and ATK Percentage on the rope. For substats, prioritize CRIT Rate, then CRIT DMG, ATK Percentage and SPD. Keep the Rutilant Arena threshold in mind when balancing CRIT stats.
The Finale of a Lie is the first Light Cone choice. It gives CRIT Rate and grants Umbra Devourer at the start of battle, increasing ATK and DMG taken by enemies. Four Follow-Up ATKs can refresh the effect; March gains a Follow-Up ATK at E2.
In the Night is next: it gives CRIT Rate and increases Basic ATK DMG for SPD above 100. Worrisome, Blissful gives CRIT Rate and Follow-Up ATK DMG; at E2, March can also apply its Tame stacks, letting allies deal more CRIT DMG to that target.
Leveling priority
The game's leveling order is My Sword Zaps Demons, Master, It's Tea Time!, Master, I've Ascended!, then March 7th, the Apex Heroine. Start with Basic because March uses it throughout the Charge cycle and relies on its Enhanced version for repeated hits.
For maximum ascension, collect 246,400 Credit, 50 Horn of Snow, 12 Thief's Instinct, 13 Usurper's Scheme and 12 Conqueror's Will. For all skills, you need 2,400,000 Credit, 5 Tracks of Destiny, 12 Meteoric Bullet, 54 Destined Expiration, 105 Countertemporal Shot, 12 Destroyer's Final Road, 28 Thief's Instinct, 42 Usurper's Scheme and 42 Conqueror's Will.
Eidolons worth it
Blade Dances on Waves' Fight is a good first milestone. After Shifu attacks with a Basic ATK or Skill, March launches a Follow-Up ATK and gains 1 Charge, up to once per turn. The attack also triggers the effect associated with Shifu's Path.
Me, the Best Girl in Sight is worth considering for damage: after Ultimate, the next Enhanced Basic ATK gains 50% CRIT DMG. My Sword Stirs Starlight gives March 10% SPD while Shifu is on the field, helping her take turns.
You can stop at E2 if you do not need the later upgrades. E4 gives 5 Energy at the start of March's turn, while E3 and E5 raise skill levels. You cannot skip those steps on the way to E6.
Teams
Pick a Shifu who attacks or uses Ultimate often enough to feed March's Charge. An ally on Erudition, Destruction, The Hunt, Remembrance or Elation gives her attacks Additional DMG of that ally's Combat Type. Clara, a Physical Destruction character, is an option.
A Shifu on Harmony, Nihility, Preservation or Abundance instead doubles the Toughness Reduction of the affected damage. Pela is an Ice Nihility debuffer; Natasha is a Physical Abundance sustain option. March's Filigree lets her reduce Toughness matching Shifu's Combat Type, but the resulting Weakness Break is Imaginary.
After Enhanced Basic ATK, Tide Tamer gives Shifu 60% CRIT DMG and 36% Break Effect for 2 turns. Choose the recipient with that buff as well as their Path in mind.
Common mistakes
Do not leave March without a Shifu after using Master, It's Tea Time!. Her Charge gain and Path effects depend on that ally. Also check the chosen Path before expecting extra elemental damage: support Paths give increased Toughness Reduction instead.
Do not expect Enhanced Basic ATK to recover Skill Points. Once March reaches 7 Charge, her Skill is unavailable until she uses that attack, so change Shifu beforehand if needed.
Do not assume Rutilant Arena's Basic ATK bonus is active below 70% CRIT Rate. With Worrisome, Blissful, remember that March needs E2 to use her own Follow-Up ATK and apply Tame.
