At a glance

The Herta is an Ice Erudition damage dealer who attacks groups while building Interpretation stacks on enemies. Her enhanced Skill hits the whole field and gains damage from the stacks on its primary target.

A second Erudition character makes her Talent stronger and lets her give the whole team CRIT DMG. Allies also help build Interpretation by attacking, so the team contributes to her damage even when The Herta is not acting.

When using Enhanced Skill, if the primary target's "Interpretation" stack reaches 42, increases the Ice DMG dealt by The Herta by 50%, lasting until the end of this attack.

When entering battle, if the team has 2 or more Erudition characters, increases all allies' CRIT DMG by 80%. And the Trace "Aloofly Honest" counts at least 3 target(s) when calculating the number of targets hit. Guide

How the kit works

Use Vibe Checker before battle for 60% ATK at the start of the next fight, lasting 2 turns. In Simulated Universe or Divergent Universe, entering battle with it also deals True DMG at the start of each wave: 99% of Max HP to enemies below Elite and 30% to Elite enemies and above.

Enemies enter combat with 1 Interpretation stack, and Hand Them Over puts 25 on a random enemy at the start of each wave, prioritizing Elite targets and above. Big Brain Energy adds 1 stack to its primary target, then repeats its damage across hit targets and their adjacent enemies twice.

Allied attacks add Interpretation through Aloofly Honest and restore 3 fixed Energy per target hit, up to 5 targets. With two Erudition characters, Message From Beyond the Veil counts at least 3 targets for this Energy and gives all allies 80% CRIT DMG. It also adds stacks after attacks, with 2 extra when the attacker is Erudition.

Use Told Ya! Magic Happens to move higher stack counts toward Elite enemies and above, damage all enemies and gain 1 Inspiration. It also gives The Herta 80% ATK for 3 turns and an immediate action. Each Answer stack gained from applying Interpretation increases that Ultimate's DMG multiplier by 1%, up to 99 stacks.

Spend Inspiration on Hear Me Out. Its damage increases with the primary target's Interpretation, up to 42 stacks; a second Erudition character doubles the Talent's per-stack increase. At 42 stacks, Aloofly Honest also grants 50% Ice DMG until that attack ends. The enhanced Skill resets the primary target to 1 stack, so check your target before using it.

Build and why

Use four pieces of Scholar Lost in Erudition. The set gives 8% CRIT Rate and 20% Skill and Ultimate DMG. After an Ultimate, the next Skill gains another 25% damage, which fits the immediate enhanced Skill. Hunter of Glacial Forest is an alternative with Ice DMG and CRIT DMG after Ultimate.

For the planar set, Izumo Gensei and Takama Divine Realm gives 12% ATK and another 12% CRIT Rate when a teammate shares The Herta's Path. That condition fits the second Erudition teammate her kit wants. Rutilant Arena is another option: it gives 8% CRIT Rate and boosts Skill and Basic ATK DMG by 20% at 70% CRIT Rate.

Choose CRIT Rate or CRIT DMG on the body, SPD or ATK Percentage on the feet, Ice DMG Boost on the sphere, and ATK Percentage or Energy Regeneration Rate on the rope. For substats, look for CRIT Rate, CRIT DMG, ATK Percentage and SPD, in that order.

Into the Unreachable Veil is the first weapon choice. It gives CRIT Rate and boosts Skill and Ultimate DMG after Ultimate; it also recovers a Skill Point if the Ultimate consumed at least 140 Energy. Today Is Another Peaceful Day ranks next and increases damage based on Max Energy. Night on the Milky Way follows, giving ATK for enemies on the field and a damage boost when an enemy suffers Weakness Break.

Leveling priority

Follow the game's order: Big Brain Energy first, Told Ya! Magic Happens second, Hand Them Over third, and Did You Get It last. The Skill and Ultimate are central to her damage, while the Talent increases enhanced Skill damage from Interpretation.

For maximum ascension, gather 308,000 Credit, 65 Dream Fridge and 15 each of Extinguished Core, Glimmering Core and Squirming Core.

To level all skills, gather 3,000,000 Credit, 8 Tracks of Destiny, 18 Rough Sketch, 69 Dynamic Outlining, 139 Exquisite Colored Draft, 12 Auspice Sliver, 41 Extinguished Core, 56 Glimmering Core and 58 Squirming Core.

Eidolons worth it

Wind Through Keyhole is worth considering for more enhanced Skills. It grants an extra Inspiration on entering combat and after Ultimate, then advances The Herta's next action by 35% after an enhanced Skill.

Night at Shorefall is another useful step. The enhanced Skill counts an extra 50% of the highest Interpretation stack count among the primary target and adjacent targets. It also resets the primary target to 15 stacks rather than 1.

Sweet Lure of Answer is a further option for damage: it gives 20% Ice RES PEN and increases the Ultimate's DMG multiplier by 140%, 250% or 400% against at least 3, 2 or 1 enemies respectively.

Stopping at E0 is a reasonable choice. Door into Summer and Bitter Pill of Truth raise skill levels, while The Sixteenth Key gives Erudition teammates 12% SPD. Consider them if you want to go further, rather than treating them as required.

Teams

Bring another Erudition character to activate the extra Talent scaling and teamwide CRIT DMG. Anaxa is a Wind option; Herta is an Ice option with follow-up attacks. Serval gives you a Lightning Erudition choice.

For the other slots, a buffer and a sustain character are good options. Tribbie or Sparkle can take the buffer slot, while Dan Heng • Permansor Terrae or Huohuo can provide sustain. For example, try The Herta, Anaxa, Tribbie and Dan Heng • Permansor Terrae.

The Herta gives the team 80% CRIT DMG with a second Erudition character. In return, allied attacks add Interpretation and restore her Energy. Attacks from an Erudition ally add more Interpretation through her Trace.

Common mistakes

Don't use the enhanced Skill without checking the primary target's Interpretation. The target supplies its stack-based damage increase and normally drops back to 1 stack afterward. An enemy leaving the field transfers its stacks, prioritizing Elite enemies and above.

Don't forget that Ultimate rearranges stack counts before the immediate action. Check where the highest count went, especially if you want to reach 42 stacks for the Ice DMG bonus.

Don't ignore the conditions on your gear. Izumo Gensei and Takama Divine Realm needs a teammate on the same Path for its CRIT Rate bonus, while Rutilant Arena needs 70% CRIT Rate for its Skill damage bonus. Pick your body stat with those bonuses in mind.
