At a glance

Gaming is a 4-star Pyro Claymore character who spends time on the field attacking from above. His Elemental Skill launches him into the air for a special Pyro Plunging Attack, and his Burst helps him repeat it.

    Normal Attack Performs up to 4 consecutive strikes. Charged Attack Drains Stamina over time to perform continuous spinning attacks against all nearby opponents. At the end of the sequence, performs a more powerful slash. Plunging Attack Plunges from mid-air to strike the ground below, damaging opponents along the path and dealing AoE DMG upon impact.

    Pounces forward using the Wushou arts, leaping high into the air after coming into contact with a target or surface. After Gaming has used Bestial Ascent to rise into the air, if he immediately uses a Plunging Attack, he will use the especially powerful Plunging Attack: Charmed Cloudstrider instead. Plunging Attack: Charmed Cloudstrider The DMG from Plunging Attacks caused by Bestial Ascent is converted to Pyro DMG that cannot be overridden by other elemental infusions. Upon landing, Gaming will consume a fixed amount of HP. Gaming's HP cannot be reduced below 10% by this method. Charmed Cloudstrider DMG is considered Plunging Attack DMG.     Suanni's Gilded Dance (Q) heals Gaming and summons Man Chai for AoE Pyro DMG. His return resets Bestial Ascent (E).

    Gaming enters Wushou Stance, briefly applying Pyro to him, recovering a fixed amount of HP, and summons his companion, the Suanni Man Chai, to smash into his target, dealing AoE Pyro DMG. After bashing its target, Man Chai will roll to a nearby location before moving towards Gaming. When it links up with Gaming, Man Chai will leave the field and reset the CD for Gaming's Elemental Skill, Bestial Ascent. While Wushou Stance is active, his resistance to interruption is increased, and when Gaming lands with Charmed Cloudstrider attack or completes the forward pounce attack from Bestial Ascent with over 50% HP, he will summon Man Chai again. Each Gaming can only have 1 Man Chai on the field simultaneously. This effect will be canceled once Gaming leaves the field. "The gilded Suanni spits out fortune like a fireworks show! Guide

How the kit works

Use your teammates' abilities, then bring Gaming on field and activate Suanni's Gilded Dance. It restores some of his HP, briefly applies Pyro to him and sends Man Chai into a target for AoE Pyro DMG. Gaming also gains interruption resistance while Wushou Stance is active.

Use Bestial Ascent to pounce into a target or surface and leap upward. Immediately use a Plunging Attack to perform Charmed Cloudstrider. This attack deals Pyro DMG that other elemental infusions cannot override, and it counts as Plunging Attack DMG. Landing consumes HP, but cannot reduce Gaming below 10% HP.

Man Chai returns to Gaming after its hit. When they meet, it resets Bestial Ascent's cooldown. During Wushou Stance, landing the special plunge or completing the forward pounce with over 50% HP can summon Man Chai again. Follow it, let it return, and repeat the skill and plunge. Wushou Stance ends if Gaming leaves the field.

Dance of Amity heals Gaming after his special plunge hits. Air of Prosperity gives him 20% Incoming Healing Bonus below 50% HP, or 20% more Charmed Cloudstrider damage at 50% HP or above.

Build and why

A strong starting point is four pieces of Crimson Witch of Flames. It gives Pyro DMG Bonus and increases Vaporize and Melt damage. Using the Elemental Skill also increases its two-piece bonus. Marechaussee Hunter is another option: Gaming's HP loss and healing can activate its four-piece CRIT Rate bonus.

Gilded Dreams is worth considering for a reaction team, thanks to its Elemental Mastery and reaction-triggered buffs. Long Night's Oath also fits the special plunge: its two-piece bonus increases Plunging Attack DMG, and its four-piece stacks add more after qualifying hits.

For the sands, choose ATK Percentage, Elemental Mastery or Energy Recharge according to what your build needs. Use Pyro DMG Bonus on the goblet and CRIT Rate or CRIT DMG on the circlet. Look for CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG in substats, followed by ATK Percentage, Elemental Mastery and Energy Recharge. Account for any CRIT Rate your set or weapon supplies.

Gest of the Mighty Wolf is a leading weapon choice. Casting the skill grants two stacks of its damage bonus. Serpent Spine gains damage stacks while Gaming is on field, though taking damage removes a stack. Redhorn Stonethresher is another listed option, but its passive boosts Normal and Charged Attacks rather than the special plunge. Fruitful Hook directly increases Plunging Attack CRIT Rate and rewards a plunge hit with more Plunging Attack DMG.

Leveling priority

A sensible leveling order is Bestial Ascent first, since it produces Gaming's special plunge. Suanni's Gilded Dance is a reasonable next choice for its own AoE hit and its place in the skill-reset loop. Leave Stellar Rend (NA) until later if you mostly use the special plunge. The supplied skill details do not specify how each talent level changes its effects.

For ascension, collect Starconch, Emperor's Resolution and the Agnidus Agate Sliver, Fragment, Chunk and Gemstone materials. You also need Slime Condensate, Slime Secretions, Slime Concentrate and Mora.

Constellations worth it

To Tame All Beasts is the standout constellation. It gives Charmed Cloudstrider 20% CRIT Rate and 40% CRIT DMG, and increases its attack radius. All three benefits go directly to Gaming's special plunge.

Bringer of Blessing is also worth considering: when Man Chai returns, it heals Gaming for 15% HP. Soar Across Mountains restores 2 Energy when the special plunge hits, which can help with Burst availability.

Teams

Gaming supplies on-field Pyro damage. A Hydro teammate can set up Vaporize, while a Cryo teammate opens up Melt. He also appreciates healing because his repeated plunges consume HP and his Burst loop wants him above 50%.

Common mistakes

Do not wait too long after the skill's leap to plunge. The special attack requires an immediate Plunging Attack after Bestial Ascent lifts Gaming into the air. Its Pyro damage counts as Plunging Attack DMG, so a bonus to Elemental Skill DMG is not the same thing.

Do not switch Gaming out in the middle of Suanni's Gilded Dance if you still want its resets. Wushou Stance ends when he leaves the field. Also watch for Man Chai's return: the skill cooldown resets when it meets Gaming, not when it first hits the target.

Do not ignore HP just because the skill cannot reduce it below 10%. Below 50% HP, Gaming loses the special plunge damage bonus and cannot meet the Burst's over-50% condition for another Man Chai summon. Let healing bring him back up before continuing the loop.
