Guide
How the kit works
Set up your teammates first and trigger Cryo Swirl to get Stellar Swirl. After a nearby party member triggers Stellar Swirl, Stellar Jubilee: Splendid Prelude gives Vesna Radiance: Stellar Swirl for 8 seconds. In that state, her Spirit Blades’ Anemo DMG also counts as Stellar Swirl reaction DMG.
Use The Art of Victory to enter Armed for Action with two stacks of Sword Essence. Normal, Charged and Plunging Attacks become Anemo DMG that another infusion cannot override. They also summon a wind pinion that deals Anemo DMG and restores Sword Essence.
Spend Sword Essence on the special Skill. Each use raises its level in the same Armed for Action instance, up to level 3; uses at levels 2 and 3 also summon Spirit Blades. At the base level of the kit, using it at level 3 three times ends the mode. Remaining Sword Essence is cleared when the mode ends.
Use For the Tsaritsa! during the sequence for AoE Anemo DMG and one Sword Essence stack. The Burst and special Skill each grant a Disciplinary Action stack through Rite of Spring's Procession. Each stack lasts 20 seconds, up to six; active stacks raise Spirit Blades DMG by 10% each. Starting The Art of Victory or leaving the field clears them.
Build and why
Use four pieces of Scarlet Proof. Its two-piece bonus gives 18% ATK; after Vesna triggers Stellar Swirl, the four-piece bonus gives her 16% CRIT Rate and 40% Stellar Swirl reaction DMG for 10 seconds. Both the ATK and reaction bonus fit her kit.
Viridescent Venerer is an alternative if you want resistance reduction: its four-piece effect increases Stellar Swirl DMG by 20% and reduces Cryo RES by 40% when the wearer triggers Stellar Swirl in an opponent. Gladiator's Finale is another option, with 18% ATK and 35% Normal Attack DMG for a Sword user, though it does not directly boost Stellar Swirl.
Use ATK Percentage on the sands and goblet, with CRIT DMG or CRIT Rate on the circlet. For substats, look for CRIT DMG, CRIT Rate, ATK Percentage and Elemental Mastery, in that order. Account for Scarlet Proof’s CRIT Rate when choosing the circlet.
Beyond the Chrysalis is the first weapon choice: successive Skill or Burst uses cycle through 56% CRIT DMG, 36% Stellar Swirl DMG and 5 Energy. Whitelake Frostfeather can provide ATK from Skill hits, while Emberwell gives 16% ATK after an Elemental Reaction. The latter weapons’ Stellar Glimmer bonuses do not describe a bonus to Stellar Swirl.
Leveling priority
A suggested talent order is The Art of Victory, For the Tsaritsa!, then Vila Blade Dance (NA). The Skill is central to her field time and special attacks. The Burst deals AoE Anemo DMG and adds Sword Essence, while Normal Attacks help her regain it.
For maximum ascension, gather 420,000 Mora, 168 Golden Fern, 46 Vagabond's Cracked Armor, 1 Vayuda Turquoise Sliver, 9 Vayuda Turquoise Fragment, 9 Vayuda Turquoise Chunk and 6 Vayuda Turquoise Gemstone. You also need 18 Ethereal Glimmershard, 30 Ethereal Crystal and 36 Ethereal Crystalscale Stone.
To max all three talents, gather 4,957,500 Mora, 3 Crown of Insight, 9 Teachings of Glory, 63 Guide to Glory, 114 Philosophies of Glory and 18 Profaned Sprout. The talent materials also include 18 Ethereal Glimmershard, 66 Ethereal Crystal and 93 Ethereal Crystalscale Stone.
Constellations worth it
For an optional progression order, consider Kolo of Spring's Arrival first. It gives Vesna the maximum Disciplinary Action stacks when she enters Armed for Action and grants 40% ATK while she has the maximum stacks. The relevant passive must be unlocked.
Winter's Farewell Feast is another useful step: it allows four level-3 special Skill uses per mode instead of three, makes the first one cost no Sword Essence and adds 20% Stellar Swirl reaction DMG during the mode.
Unwavering Ardor is worth considering further along. After a level-3 special Skill, a Normal Attack or Skill tap within 5 seconds triggers an extra attack and Spirit Blades; it also raises Stellar Swirl reaction DMG by 20%. You can stop before the later constellations: C3 and C5 add talent levels, while C4 increases the bonuses from Truth Prevails. Earlier constellations cannot be skipped on the way to C6.
Teams
Truth Prevails gives Vesna 6% ATK for each Cryo or Anemo party member, or 25 Elemental Mastery for each member of another element. Stellar Jubilee: Splendid Prelude increases the party’s Base Stellar Swirl DMG based on her ATK, so the reaction helps the team as well as Vesna.
Common mistakes
Do not leave the field midway through the attacking sequence without a reason. You lose Disciplinary Action stacks, and starting The Art of Victory clears them too. Use teammate abilities before committing to Vesna’s time on the field.
Do not spend the whole mode on attacks without using the special Skill. Attacks replenish Sword Essence, but the special Skill spends it and progresses toward its higher levels. Watch the mode ending after three level-3 uses unless you have C1.
Do not confuse Stellar Swirl with Stellar Glimmer when reading equipment. Also remember that Scarlet Proof’s four-piece effect needs Vesna herself to trigger Stellar Swirl; a teammate triggering it is not the condition listed for the set.
