How the kit works
Start by entering Hunter's Gait. An EX Special Attack, Assist Follow-Up, Chain Attack or Ultimate activates it through Core Passive: Hunter's Instinct. While the state is active, Pulchra deals 30% more Daze. It lasts 6 seconds, but if you switch her out while it is active, it remains until she returns to the field.
Special Attack: Rending Claw deals Physical DMG and raises her Anti-Interrupt level, but it does not activate Hunter's Gait. To enter the state, use EX Special Attack: Rending Claw - Flashstep (Special) when you have enough Energy. You can also use Assist Follow-Up: Independent Pricing after an Evasive Assist; it consumes 1 Assist Point to enter Hunter's Gait. While Pulchra is active in this state, a heavy attack that hits an enemy can trigger a Quick Assist from the previous character in the squad. Keep squad order in mind when setting up the switch.
Once another character is active, land a heavy attack from their Special Attack or EX Special Attack. This triggers Special Attack: Rending Claw - Nightmare Shadow, an Aftershock centered on the target. Further hits by the active teammate repeat it up to 5 more times, with a stronger Finishing Move at the end.
Additional Ability: Business Partner requires another Attack or Rupture character, or a character from Pulchra's Faction. When it is active, Nightmare Shadow and several of her other attacks apply Binding Trap for 15 seconds. Use Dodge: Reversal Shot to avoid attacks when Pulchra is on field; she is invulnerable during the dodge.
Build and why
Use 4 pieces of King of the Summit with 2 pieces of Shockstar Disco. King of the Summit increases the squad's CRIT DMG by 15% when Pulchra uses an EX Special Attack or Chain Attack. At 50% CRIT Rate or more, it adds another 15% for 15 seconds. Shockstar Disco gives her 6% Impact.
For a build focused more on Pulchra's own damage, consider 4 pieces of Shadow Harmony with the same 2-piece Shockstar Disco. Shadow Harmony increases Aftershock DMG and can build stacks of ATK and CRIT Rate when her Physical Aftershock hits. Each stack gives 4% of both stats, up to 3 stacks.
Blazing Laurel is the first weapon option. After Pulchra launches a Quick Assist or Perfect Assist, it gives her 25% Impact for 8 seconds. Its Basic Attack effect also supports Ice and Fire CRIT DMG, so that part depends on the team. Box Cutter is a strong alternative: launching an Aftershock gives Pulchra 15% Physical DMG and 10% Daze for 10 seconds. Steam Oven is another option for Impact based on accumulated Energy.
Use CRIT Rate on disc 4, Physical DMG Bonus or Percent ATK on disc 5, and Impact on disc 6. For substats, look for CRIT Rate first, then Percent ATK and CRIT DMG. CRIT Rate also helps reach the threshold on King of the Summit; Impact supports her Stun job.
Leveling priority
Level Core Passive: Hunter's Instinct first, then Special Attack, Assist, Chain Attack, Basic Attack and Dodge, in that order. The passive establishes her Hunter's Gait playstyle, while Special Attack includes the follow-up she uses from off field.
For ascension to the maximum level, you need 800,000 Denny, 4 Basic Stun Certification Seal, 32 Advanced Stun Certification Seal and 30 Buster Certification Seal.
For all skills to the maximum level, the listed materials are 2,905,000 Denny, 25 Basic Physical Chip, 75 Advanced Physical Chip, 250 Specialized Physical Chip, 5 Hamster Cage Pass, 9 Scarlet Engine and 60 Higher Dimensional Data: Stealth Phantom. You can work through the lower-priority skills after the passive and Special Attack.
Mindscapes worth it
Behind the Mask is the biggest upgrade. It increases Nightmare Shadow's DMG by 15%, allows 2 more repeated attacks and changes Binding Trap so its bonus applies to all damage types, rather than only Aftershock DMG. That makes the team buff useful to a broader range of damage dealers.
Joy of the Hunt is worth considering for its 5-point reduction to the EX Special Attack's Energy Cost. Self-Interest (M1) gives Pulchra 10% CRIT Rate when she damages an enemy affected by Binding Trap. Opportunistic (M2) adds 10% ATK while she is in Hunter's Gait.
Territorial (M3) and Tail Game each add 2 levels to her listed combat skills. They are useful, but you can leave them out if you do not need those levels; neither changes how Binding Trap works.
Teams
Bring an Attack or Rupture character, or a member of the same Faction, to activate Pulchra's Additional Ability. The active teammate also needs a heavy hit from a Special Attack or EX Special Attack to start her off-field follow-up. Check the attack you plan to use rather than assuming every Special Attack triggers it.
Common mistakes
Do not switch Pulchra back in immediately after setting up Hunter's Gait if you want her off-field attacks. The state lasts until she returns, and her teammate still needs the qualifying heavy hit to start the sequence. Keep attacking after the first Aftershock to get the repeated strikes.
Do not assume Binding Trap is active in every squad. Check the Additional Ability condition, then hit with an attack that applies the effect. Its 30% damage bonus applies to Aftershock before M6, so a teammate's other damage types do not receive that bonus.
Do not ignore CRIT Rate when using King of the Summit: its extra squad CRIT DMG requires at least 50%. With Blazing Laurel, remember that Pulchra needs to launch the relevant assist for its Impact effect; the Ice and Fire part of the weapon is less useful if the team does not deal those damage types.
