Guide
How the kit works
Start with Special Attack: Solid Hit! or, when you have enough Energy, EX Special Attack: Home Run! (Special). Core Passive: Crimson Mane Guard makes a guard boar join the fight and call two more when Lucy uses either attack. The boars inherit her ATK, Impact and Anomaly Proficiency.
Press the Special or EX Special for a Line Drive that explodes on contact with an enemy or wall. Hold it for a Fly Ball that explodes on landing. The EX version makes Lucy invulnerable during the attack. Its explosion applies Cheer On!: Line Drive gives it for 10 seconds and Fly Ball for 15 seconds. Reapplying it resets the duration. The buff raises allies’ ATK based on Lucy’s initial ATK, up to 600.
When Lucy’s EX Special hits an enemy, it triggers a Quick Assist. Switch to an ally and let the boars attack automatically with Guard Boars: To Arms!. Receiving Cheer On! also makes them use Guard Boars: Spinning Swing!. The fourth hit of Basic Attack: Lady’s Bat (Basic) triggers another spin; if a spin cannot happen immediately, the boars remember it.
Use Defensive Assist: Safe on Base! to parry an incoming attack, then Assist Follow-Up: Scored a Run! to strike. Chain Attack: Grand Slam! and Ultimate: Walk-Off Home Run! deal Fire DMG and trigger a Quick Assist on hit. The Ultimate restores 10 Energy to the other squad members, with another 20 for the next character to switch in.
Build and why
Four pieces of Astral Voice are a strong choice: each Quick Assist entry gives the squad a stack, up to three, and each stack raises the DMG of the character entering through Quick Assist by 8%. Stacks last 15 seconds and refresh when gained. Lucy’s EX Special and Chain Attack can trigger Quick Assists when they hit, so the set fits her handoff.
Four pieces of Moonlight Lullaby are another option. Its two-piece bonus gives 20% Energy Regen, and its four-piece bonus gives the squad 18% DMG for 25 seconds when Lucy uses an EX Special Attack or Ultimate. Four pieces of Swing Jazz give the same two-piece Energy Regen bonus, then raise squad DMG by 15% for 12 seconds after a Chain Attack or Ultimate. Pair a four-piece set with two pieces of Hormone Punk for 10% ATK.
For main stats, use Percent ATK on disc 5. Choose Percent ATK or CRIT Rate on disc 4, and Percent ATK or Energy Regen on disc 6. Look for Percent ATK and then ATK in substats. ATK helps Lucy’s buff and is inherited by her boars; Energy Regen helps her access the EX Special. CRIT Rate is an option for the boars when their CRIT inheritance is active.
Kaboom the Cannon is the first weapon to look for. Friendly units that hit enemies give the team 2.5% ATK per stack for 8 seconds, up to four stacks; each friendly unit can provide one stack. Weeping Cradle is another option for off-field Energy Regen and increased team DMG against targets hit by its wearer. Elegant Vanity gives Energy on certain entries and can raise squad DMG when Lucy consumes at least 25 Energy.
Leveling priority
Follow the game’s skill order: Special Attack first, Chain Attack second, Core Passive third, then Basic Attack, Assist and Dodge. The Special Attack category is first because Lucy relies on her EX Special for Cheer On!. Chain Attack: Grand Slam! gives her a Fire attack that can hand off through Quick Assist, while Core Passive: Crimson Mane Guard supports her boars.
Basic Attack: Lady’s Bat (Basic) comes next, followed by Assist and Dodge. Those skills still have uses, but Lucy can give her team its ATK buff without staying on field for a full Basic Attack sequence.
For maximum ascension, gather 800,000 Denny, 4 Basic Support Certification Seal, 32 Advanced Support Certification Seal and 30 Ruler Certification Seal. For all skills, the listed costs are 2,905,000 Denny, 25 Basic Burn Chip, 75 Advanced Burn Chip, 250 Specialized Burn Chip, 5 Hamster Cage Pass, 9 Ferocious Grip and 60 Higher Dimensional Data: Steel Malice.
Mindscapes worth it
For a support-focused Lucy, I’d consider Fierce Fangs of Fire the biggest target. When another squad member with Cheer On! hits an enemy with an EX Special Attack, a boar drops for Fire DMG equal to 300% of its ATK, then uses Guard Boars: Spinning Swing!. The drop extends Cheer On! by 5 seconds, up to three times and a maximum duration of 30 seconds. Refreshing the buff resets the extension count.
Little Boar Captain is a useful earlier upgrade: Lucy’s Chain Attack or Ultimate gives Cheer On! to the squad, Bangboo and boars for 10 seconds. Drill Formations helps with Energy, giving Lucy 2 Energy when a boar spins. Each boar has its own 15-second cooldown for this effect.
Chaos Ball Game is worth considering for its extra 10% CRIT DMG for allies with Cheer On! Ironfist Overseer and Wildland Princess raise skill levels by 2; they are less attractive as stopping points if your aim is a new support effect. You can leave them for later if you are not continuing toward M6.
Teams
The extra boar effect needs another character with Lucy’s Fire Attribute or faction, or a Rupture character. It is separate from Cheer On!, so Lucy can still give ATK to the squad without that condition. Use her Quick Assist to bring an ally in after her EX Special hits.
Common mistakes
Do not use the regular Special Attack expecting Cheer On!. It brings in the boars through Core Passive: Crimson Mane Guard, but the buff comes from the explosion after an EX Special Attack. Make sure you have enough Energy and account for where the Fly Ball lands.
Do not assume the two EX inputs give the same buff duration. A Line Drive gives 10 seconds and a Fly Ball gives 15. Refresh Cheer On! before it expires when you need the ATK, and remember that the Quick Assist from Lucy’s EX requires a hit on an enemy.
Avoid building only CRIT Rate while ignoring ATK and Energy Regen. The boars inherit CRIT stats only when Additional Ability: Batter Up! is active, while Lucy’s initial ATK affects her team buff. Also avoid relying on a fourth Basic Attack every time: it triggers Guard Boars: Spinning Swing!, but applying Cheer On! triggers a spin too.
