Guide
How the kit works
On entering the battlefield, Core Passive: Precise Guidance grants Norma 60% Preheated Chamber. While she is active and in combat, she gains another 1.5% per second. With enough Energy, use EX Special Attack: En-Nah Barrage (Special) to gain 16% more and deploy two turrets for 32 seconds.
The EX Special fires an Armor-Piercing Warhead with high Daze against a primary target that is not Stunned. Against a Stunned target it fires a High-Explosive Warhead for greater Fire DMG. Holding the input extends the firing time by up to two seconds, consuming more Energy to gain extra Preheated Chamber and extend the turret state.
Hold Basic Attack: Hat Trick while Top Hat Companion is on Norma's head to throw it out. It stores her current Preheated Chamber and continues accumulating it at the same rate while she is off field. The companion also enters the battlefield automatically when she switches out in combat with an unfilled chamber.
Retrieve the companion to receive its stored charge. Holding the input makes it move toward Norma faster; it also accelerates automatically if retrieving it would bring her to at least 80%. At that threshold, the next Hat Trick consumes 80% and replaces its Quick Assist with a Chain Attack, regardless of the normal Quick Assist cooldown.
While the turrets are deployed, EX Special Attack: Explosive Experiment (Special) opens their missile bays for eight seconds when any squad member Stuns an enemy or Norma consumes Preheated Chamber to trigger a Chain Attack. They then attack more frequently and use missiles suited to the target's Stun state. Ultimate: Doctrine of Superior Firepower grants 30% Preheated Chamber when activated.
Build and why
Use four pieces of King of the Summit and two pieces of Woodpecker Electro. King of the Summit increases Daze by 6% and gives the squad 15% CRIT DMG after Norma uses an EX Special Attack or Chain Attack. At 50% CRIT Rate or higher, that squad bonus rises by another 15%. Woodpecker Electro adds 8% CRIT Rate.
For main stats, use CRIT Rate on disc 4, Fire DMG Bonus or Percent ATK on disc 5, and Energy Regen on disc 6. Prioritize CRIT Rate, then CRIT DMG, then Percent ATK in substats. Above 50% initial CRIT Rate, Core Passive: Precise Guidance converts each additional 1% into CRIT DMG and more Daze for her Special Attack, EX Special Attack and Ultimate, up to the passive's caps.
Chief Sidekick is the first weapon choice. It gives Impact, lets Norma's DMG ignore some Fire RES and provides Energy Regen while she is off field. Her Fire DMG from an EX Special Attack also increases all Agents' DMG.
Hellfire Gears is an alternative with off-field Energy Regen and Impact stacks from EX Special Attacks. Roaring Fur-nace increases Daze from her EX Special Attack, Chain Attack and Ultimate, and its Fire Chain Attack or Ultimate hits can raise squad DMG. Swing Jazz is another set option: its four-piece bonus raises squad DMG after a Chain Attack or Ultimate.
Leveling priority
Follow the game's order: Core Passive first, then Special Attack, Chain Attack, Assist, Basic Attack and Dodge. The passive improves the bonuses tied to initial CRIT Rate and Sheer Force; Special Attack covers the EX move and turret attacks that are central to her rotation.
For maximum ascension, you need 800,000 Denny, 4 Basic Stun Certification Seal, 32 Advanced Stun Certification Seal and 30 Buster Certification Seal.
For all skills, the listed total is 2,905,000 Denny, 25 Basic Burn Chip, 75 Advanced Burn Chip, 250 Specialized Burn Chip, 5 Hamster Cage Pass, 9 Timeworn Husk and 60 Higher Dimensional Data: Deep Erosion Circuit.
Mindscapes worth it
Axiom of Universal Unity is worth considering for the team: each Tech Divide stack grants 6% Stun DMG Multiplier instead of 3%. It also gives Norma 25 Energy when she uses Basic Attack: Hat Trick in combat, once every 20 seconds.
Visionary Extremism extends the turret missile bay duration from eight to 12 seconds. Warhead hits from any skill also reduce the target's All-Attribute RES by 15% for 15 seconds. The Primary Cause of Genius adds missiles after a squad member Stuns an enemy and improves both warhead types.
Bangboo Superiority Theory gives Norma and the corresponding Agent 200 Decibels when she consumes Preheated Chamber to trigger a Chain Attack. Natural-Born Villain Paradox and En-Nah Big Bang add skill levels. If those gains are less useful to your team, they are reasonable places to stop rather than goals you need to reach.
Teams
Pair Norma with an Attack or Rupture character to activate Additional Ability: Advantage in Numbers. A same-faction teammate also meets the condition. During En-Nah Barrage, the ability increases all squad members' DMG by 20% and gives Norma ATK.
Tech Divide reaches up to 10 stacks, each adding 3% to the target's Stun DMG Multiplier. Stacks can be applied once every 0.5 seconds. A target with stacks stays Stunned for two extra seconds, although that extension cannot stack with similar effects. The stacks end when the enemy recovers.
Common mistakes
Do not leave the companion out indefinitely when you need a Chain Attack. Retrieve its stored Preheated Chamber, then use Basic Attack: Hat Trick at 80% or more to spend the charge. Remember that the automatic return acceleration depends on the amount you would gain on retrieval.
Do not build only for damage and ignore initial CRIT Rate. Core Passive: Precise Guidance starts converting it above 50%, while King of the Summit checks for at least 50% CRIT Rate for its extra squad bonus. Energy Regen also helps you use the EX Special that deploys Norma's turrets.
Do not assume Tech Divide is always active. Check the squad condition and apply stacks before the enemy becomes Stunned. Also refresh EX Special Attack: En-Nah Barrage (Special) when needed: the turrets and the Additional Ability's squad DMG bonus depend on that state.
