Guide
How the kit works
Start by setting up Dendro Cores with your team, then use Artistic Ingenuity to deal AoE Dendro damage and immediately burst the cores within its scan. You can use it again during Kaveh’s field time when there are cores in range.
Use Painted Dome to deal AoE Dendro damage and burst nearby cores. It also converts Kaveh’s attack damage to Dendro, enlarges his Normal, Charged and Plunging Attack areas, and increases his resistance to interruption. Cores created by your party through Bloom or Lunar-Bloom deal extra damage when they burst while its effects are active.
Stay on Kaveh after the Burst: its enhancements end if he leaves the field. Use Schematic Setup (NA) to attack while the effect lasts. His Normal Attack has up to four hits; his Charged Attack consumes Stamina for continuous slashes. A Craftsman’s Curious Conceptions gives him 25 Elemental Mastery when an attack hits during the Burst, up to four stacks.
An Architect’s Undertaking heals Kaveh for 300% of his Elemental Mastery when Dendro Core damage hits him, including Burgeon and Hyperbloom damage. It can trigger once every 0.5 seconds.
Build and why
Use four pieces of Deepwood Memories as the first set choice. Its two-piece bonus gives 15% Dendro DMG Bonus, and its four-piece effect lowers a target’s Dendro RES by 30% for eight seconds after a Skill or Burst hits. Kaveh can activate it with either part of his kit.
Four pieces of Flower of Paradise Lost are an alternative when Kaveh triggers the reactions. The set adds Elemental Mastery and increases the wearer’s Bloom, Hyperbloom and Burgeon damage by 40%, as well as Lunar-Bloom damage by 10%. Further bonuses build when the wearer triggers those reactions. Ocean-Hued Clam is another option: its four-piece effect turns recorded healing into damage, so Kaveh’s self-healing can feed it.
For main stats, use Elemental Mastery or Energy Recharge on the sands and Elemental Mastery on the goblet and circlet. Look for Energy Recharge first in substats, followed by Elemental Mastery, CRIT Rate and ATK Percentage. Elemental Mastery increases his passive healing; Energy Recharge helps him use his Burst more often.
Mailed Flower is the first weapon choice. A Skill hit or Elemental Reaction grants 12% ATK and 48 Elemental Mastery for eight seconds. Flame-Forged Insight is another option: a listed reaction such as Bloom restores 12 Energy and grants 60 Elemental Mastery for 15 seconds, at most once every 15 seconds.
Favonius Greatsword is useful for Energy. CRIT Hits have a 60% chance to generate particles that restore 6 Energy to the character, once every 12 seconds. If you use it, pay attention to CRIT Rate as well as Energy Recharge.
Leveling priority
A suggested talent order is Painted Dome, Artistic Ingenuity, then Schematic Setup (NA). The Burst is central to Kaveh’s field time and core damage bonus, while the Skill gives him another way to burst cores. His attacks are useful during the Burst, but the reaction-focused build still wants Elemental Mastery.
For maximum ascension, gather 420,000 Mora, 168 Mourning Flower and 46 Quelled Creeper. You also need 1 Nagadus Emerald Sliver, 9 Nagadus Emerald Fragment, 9 Nagadus Emerald Chunk, 6 Nagadus Emerald Gemstone, 18 Fungal Spores, 30 Luminescent Pollen and 36 Crystalline Cyst Dust.
To raise all talents to their maximum, the separate total is 4,957,500 Mora, 3 Crown of Insight, 9 Teachings of Ingenuity, 63 Guide to Ingenuity, 114 Philosophies of Ingenuity, 18 Fungal Spores, 66 Luminescent Pollen, 93 Crystalline Cyst Dust and 18 Primordial Greenbloom.
Constellations worth it
Sublime Salutations is the first constellation to look at. For three seconds after using the Skill, Kaveh gains 50% Dendro RES and 25% Incoming Healing Bonus. It gives him more protection while he is near bursting cores.
Pairidaeza’s Dreams (C6) is worth considering for another way to burst cores: attacks that hit during the Burst cause an AoE Dendro strike that deals 61.8% of Kaveh’s ATK and detonates cores in range, once every three seconds. Feast of Apadana is another option, adding 60% burst damage to cores from Bloom or Lunar-Bloom reactions Kaveh himself triggers.
You can play the core-focused kit without pursuing the other constellations. C2 increases Normal Attack speed during the Burst, while C3 and C5 raise talent levels. Constellations unlock in sequence, so you cannot bypass earlier ones on the way to C4 or C6.
Teams
Start with a Hydro teammate for a Bloom-focused party. Xingqiu and Yelan are options for an off-field Hydro slot. Nilou is another teammate associated with Bloom and Lunar-Bloom. Kaveh brings Dendro attacks, faster core bursts and a party-wide bonus to damage from qualifying cores during his Burst.
A second Dendro character is worth considering. Nahida fits a reaction-focused party, while Baizhu can bring healing and a shield. For a Hydro healer, Sangonomiya Kokomi is an option. Pick protection for the whole party rather than relying on Kaveh’s self-healing alone.
For a different reaction focus, consider Kuki Shinobu in a Hyperbloom team or Thoma in a Burgeon team. Kuki Shinobu brings healing, while Thoma can provide a shield. Watch when Kaveh detonates cores so you do not burst them before another teammate can use them.
Common mistakes
Do not switch away immediately after using the Burst. Kaveh loses its attack conversion and other enhancements when he leaves the field. Give him time to attack and use his Skill around available cores.
Do not ignore Energy Recharge in pursuit of Elemental Mastery. Both matter: the first helps with Burst use, while the second increases his passive healing. Also check who triggers reactions before choosing Flower of Paradise Lost, since its reaction damage bonuses apply to its wearer.
