Guide
How the kit works
Use Razorgrass Blade to send leaves forward for Dendro DMG, then place the Lea Lotus Lamp with Surgent Manifestation. The Lamp deals continuous Dendro DMG in an area. You can have only one Lamp from Traveler at a time.
Choose its first elemental contact carefully. Hydro enlarges both the Lamp's area and its attacks' area; Electro increases its ATK SPD. Pyro makes it explode after a short delay and disappear. A Lamp can undergo only one of these changes during its duration.
Verdant Overgrowth gives the Lamp one stack per second, up to 10. Each stack gives active characters in its area 6 Elemental Mastery, up to 60. Verdant Luxury also increases the DMG of the Skill and Burst for each point of Traveler's own Elemental Mastery.
Foreign Verdalume can give Traveler stacks when Dendro Cores appear nearby or the party obtains Verdant Dew. At three stacks, a Charged Attack becomes Verdessence: its hits gain Dendro DMG equal to 80% of ATK, and it creates two Vinecores that explode after 4 and 8 seconds. Each explosion deals Dendro DMG equal to 120% of ATK. Verdessence can trigger once every 15 seconds.
Foreign Fieldcleaver (NA) has up to five Normal Attack strikes. Its Charged Attack costs Stamina and normally makes two strikes. Use the special Charged Attack when its stacks are ready if you have time on the field; the Lamp remains the center of this build.
Build and why
Start with four pieces of Deepwood Memories. Its two-piece effect gives 15% Dendro DMG Bonus, and a Skill or Burst hit with four pieces lowers the target's Dendro RES by 30% for 8 seconds. The RES reduction can trigger while Traveler is off-field, helping Dendro damage against that target.
Four pieces of Noblesse Oblige are an alternative: casting the Burst gives the party 20% ATK for 12 seconds. Gilded Dreams is another option if you want Elemental Mastery and can trigger reactions. Emblem of Severed Fate is also worth considering for Energy Recharge and Burst DMG.
For main stats, choose Energy Recharge or Elemental Mastery on the sands, Dendro DMG Bonus or Elemental Mastery on the goblet, and CRIT Rate, CRIT DMG or Elemental Mastery on the circlet. Look for Energy Recharge first in substats, then Elemental Mastery, CRIT Rate, CRIT DMG and ATK Percentage.
Freedom-Sworn is the first weapon to consider. It increases DMG by 10% and gains Sigils when its wielder triggers reactions, including off-field; two Sigils give nearby party members its effect for 12 seconds. Favonius Sword is next for Energy: CRIT Hits have a 60% chance to generate particles that restore 6 Energy to the character receiving them. Sacrificial Sword can reset the Skill's cooldown after it deals damage, with a 40% chance.
Leveling priority
For this build, level Surgent Manifestation first as a suggestion: its Lamp deals continuous damage. Raise Razorgrass Blade next for its Dendro hit. Leave Foreign Fieldcleaver (NA) until later if Traveler spends most of the fight setting up the Lamp.
Maximum ascension needs 420,000 Mora, 168 Windwheel Aster, 1 Brilliant Diamond Sliver, 9 Brilliant Diamond Fragment, 9 Brilliant Diamond Chunk and 6 Brilliant Diamond Gemstone. It also takes 18 Damaged Mask, 30 Stained Mask and 36 Ominous Mask.
To max all skills, you need 4,957,500 Mora and 3 Crown of Insight. The books are 9 Teachings of Admonition, 18 Guide to Admonition, 18 Philosophies of Admonition, 33 Guide to Ingenuity, 36 Philosophies of Ingenuity, 12 Guide to Praxis and 60 Philosophies of Praxis. You also need 18 Fungal Spores, 66 Luminescent Pollen, 93 Crystalline Cyst Dust and 18 Mudra of the Malefic General.
Constellations worth it
Green Resilience is a good upgrade to consider first because it extends the Lamp's duration by 3 seconds. Symbiotic Creeper helps with Energy: when Razorgrass Blade hits an opponent, Traveler recovers 3.5 Energy.
Withering Aggregation is another useful target for teams dealing Dendro DMG. A character under the Lamp's Overflowing Lotuslight gains 12% Dendro DMG Bonus. If the Lamp has changed through elemental contact, that character also gains 12% DMG Bonus for the corresponding element.
Treacle Grass gives the Lamp five Overflowing Lotuslight stacks after its elemental change, provided Verdant Overgrowth is unlocked. Whirling Weeds and Viridian Transience raise the Skill and Burst levels respectively. You can leave those level increases for later if your focus is the Lamp's support effects rather than Traveler's damage.
Teams
Keep the active character inside the Lamp's area to receive its Elemental Mastery. If you bring Pyro, plan around the Lamp's first elemental contact: Pyro can remove an untransformed Lamp with an explosion.
Common mistakes
Do not let Pyro touch a fresh Lamp by accident if you need its continuing attacks. Once Hydro or Electro has changed it, the Lamp cannot undergo another Lotuslight Transfiguration during that duration.
Do not ignore Energy Recharge just to stack Elemental Mastery or CRIT stats. The Lamp comes from Surgent Manifestation, so being able to use the Burst matters for this setup. If you choose Favonius Sword, remember that its particle effect needs a CRIT Hit.
Do not build four pieces of Wanderer's Troupe for its Charged Attack bonus on Traveler: that bonus requires a Catalyst or Bow user, while Traveler uses a Sword. Two pieces remain an option for their 80 Elemental Mastery, paired with two pieces of Emblem of Severed Fate for Energy Recharge.
