Guide
How the kit works
Start your field time with Senet Strategy: Dance of a Thousand Nights. It charges forward, deals AoE Dendro DMG and enters Shadow Dance. The skill has two initial charges, and the state increases Nefer's resistance to interruption.
With at least one Verdant Dew in Shadow Dance, Striking Serpent (NA) has its Charged Attack replaced by Phantasm Performance, which costs no Stamina. The normal Charged Attack instead enters Slither for up to 2.5 seconds, then deals Dendro DMG when it ends. Using the skill or sprinting during Slither does not end that state.
At Moonsign: Ascendant Gleam, using the skill converts existing Dendro Cores into Seeds of Deceit. For 15 seconds, qualifying Lunar-Bloom reactions also create seeds instead of Dendro Cores or Bountiful Cores. Absorb nearby seeds with a Charged Attack or Phantasm Performance to gain one Veil of Falsehood stack per seed.
At three stacks, or when the third stack's duration is refreshed, Nefer gains 100 Elemental Mastery for 8 seconds. Use Sacred Vow: True Eye's Phantasm after gathering stacks: it consumes all Veils of Falsehood to increase that Burst's damage. Following a party member's Lunar-Bloom, Slither also provides extra Verdant Dew for 5 seconds while Shadow Dance is active.
Build and why
Use four pieces of Night of the Sky's Unveiling. Its two-piece bonus gives 80 Elemental Mastery. When nearby party members trigger Lunar Reactions while Nefer is on the field, the four-piece effect gives her CRIT Rate for 4 seconds: 15% at Nascent Gleam or 30% at Ascendant Gleam. Each different Gleaming Moon effect also raises the party's Lunar Reaction DMG by 10%, though identical effects cannot stack.
Gilded Dreams is an alternative with 80 Elemental Mastery from two pieces and more based on party members of different elements after the wearer triggers a reaction. Deepwood Memories is another option: its skill or Burst hits lower targets' Dendro RES by 30% for 8 seconds, helping Dendro attacks.
Choose Elemental Mastery on the sands and goblet, with CRIT DMG or CRIT Rate on the circlet. For substats, the game's build puts CRIT DMG first, then CRIT Rate and Elemental Mastery. Account for the set's conditional CRIT Rate when choosing the circlet.
Reliquary of Truth is the first weapon choice. Its skill effect grants 80 Elemental Mastery, and dealing Lunar-Bloom DMG grants 24% CRIT DMG; both effects become 50% stronger while active together. Nightweaver's Looking Glass can give Elemental Mastery from skill damage and nearby Lunar-Bloom reactions. Blackmarrow Lantern directly increases Lunar-Bloom DMG, with another increase at Ascendant Gleam.
Leveling priority
For talent levels, consider Senet Strategy: Dance of a Thousand Nights first, followed by Sacred Vow: True Eye's Phantasm, then Striking Serpent (NA). The skill is part of her field setup, while the Burst deals AoE Dendro DMG and uses her accumulated Veils. This is a suggested order, not an order supplied by the game.
For maximum ascension, collect 420,000 Mora, 168 Moonfall Silver, 46 Radiant Antler, one Nagadus Emerald Sliver, nine Nagadus Emerald Fragment, nine Nagadus Emerald Chunk and six Nagadus Emerald Gemstone. You also need 18 Tattered Warrant, 30 Immaculate Warrant and 36 Frost-Etched Warrant.
For all three talents to maximum, gather 4,957,500 Mora, three Crown of Insight, nine Teachings of Elysium, 63 Guide to Elysium, 114 Philosophies of Elysium and 18 Ascended Sample: Rook. The talent costs also include 18 Tattered Warrant, 66 Immaculate Warrant and 93 Frost-Etched Warrant.
Constellations worth it
Planning Breeds Success is the standout upgrade. It increases the Base DMG of Lunar-Bloom reactions caused by Phantasm Performance by 60% of Nefer's Elemental Mastery, and Veil of Falsehood boosts this effect as well.
Observation Feeds Strategy is another upgrade worth considering. It raises the Veil stack limit to five, extends its duration by 5 seconds and gives two stacks when Nefer uses her skill. At five stacks, or when the fifth stack is refreshed, the Elemental Mastery bonus becomes 200 for 8 seconds.
Victory Flows from the Turning of Tides changes the second damage stage of Phantasm Performance and adds another AoE Dendro hit, both based on Elemental Mastery and counted as its Lunar-Bloom DMG. At Ascendant Gleam, it also elevates Nefer's Lunar-Bloom DMG by 15%.
Delusion Ensnares Reason is worth considering for faster Verdant Dew gain and lower nearby Dendro RES during Shadow Dance. The third and fifth constellations raise skill and Burst levels respectively; you can stop before them if those extra levels are not your goal. They cannot be skipped on the way to later constellations.
Teams
Nefer gives the whole party Bloom-to-Lunar-Bloom conversion. Her Elemental Mastery increases Lunar-Bloom Base DMG by 0.0175% per point, up to 14%. Seeds of Deceit cannot burst or trigger Hyperbloom or Burgeon, so plan around absorbing them rather than using them for those reactions.
Common mistakes
Don't use the Burst before collecting Veil of Falsehood if you can gather seeds first. It consumes every stack to increase its own damage, so check what you have built before spending it.
Don't expect every Charged Attack in Shadow Dance to be Phantasm Performance. You need at least one Verdant Dew for the replacement. Without it, the normal Slither attack consumes Stamina, including an additional amount when it ends.
Don't ignore Elemental Mastery just because the build uses a CRIT circlet. It increases the Lunar-Bloom passive's Base DMG bonus up to 14%. Above 500 Elemental Mastery, it also strengthens the extra Verdant Dew provision from Slither, up to a 50% increase.
Check your Moonsign before relying on seeds or the larger set bonuses. The seed conversion requires Ascendant Gleam, and Night of the Sky's Unveiling gives different CRIT Rate values at Nascent and Ascendant Gleam.
