Guide
How the kit works
Start with Raphanus Sky Cluster to call Yuegui: Throwing Mode. Hold the Skill if you want to aim the throw. Its radishes explode near characters or opponents, healing and dealing Dendro damage in an area. If a radish lands without hitting either, it stays until contact or until its duration expires.
Yuegui chooses its target according to nearby characters' HP. If everyone is above 70%, it aims at a nearby opponent. At 70% HP or less, it aims at the character with the lowest HP percentage. With no opponent nearby, it can also aim at injured characters above 70% HP. Up to two Yuegui: Throwing Mode can exist at once.
Use Moonjade Descent when the team needs more healing. It deals Dendro damage and enters Adeptal Legacy, changing radish explosions to heal all nearby party members and count their damage as Elemental Burst damage. It also summons up to three Yuegui: Jumping Mode, increases Yaoyao's Movement SPD by 15%, and raises her Dendro RES.
During Adeptal Legacy, run, sprint or jump near opponents. Starscatter makes Yaoyao throw an extra radish once every 0.6 seconds while moving this way. Stay on-field: switching her out ends the state and removes the remaining jumping Yuegui. In Others' Shoes also gives the active character healing over 5 seconds after a radish explosion, based on 0.8% of Yaoyao's Max HP each second.
Build and why
Use four pieces of Deepwood Memories as the first set to consider. Its two-piece bonus gives 15% Dendro DMG Bonus, and its four-piece effect lowers an opponent's Dendro RES by 30% for 8 seconds after a Skill or Burst hit. Yaoyao can trigger it off-field, helping the team's Dendro damage.
Four pieces of Tenacity of the Millelith are an alternative when the team wants ATK. The set gives Yaoyao 20% HP, while Skill hits give nearby party members 20% ATK and 30% Shield Strength for 3 seconds. Instructor is another option: triggering a reaction gives the party 120 Elemental Mastery for 8 seconds.
For main stats, choose HP Percentage or Energy Recharge on the sands, HP Percentage on the goblet, and Healing Bonus or HP Percentage on the circlet. For substats, look for HP Percentage first, then Energy Recharge, CRIT Rate and HP. HP improves radish healing; Energy Recharge helps Yaoyao use her Burst.
Favonius Lance is the first weapon choice. Its CRIT hits have a 60% chance to generate particles that restore 6 Energy, once every 12 seconds, so CRIT Rate is useful with it. Dialogues of the Desert Sages is another strong option: healing restores 8 Energy to its wielder once every 10 seconds, even off-field. Black Tassel is a three-star alternative; its listed passive increases damage against slimes, not healing.
Leveling priority
A useful talent order is Raphanus Sky Cluster, then Moonjade Descent, then Toss 'N' Turn Spear (NA). Level the Skill first for the radishes Yaoyao uses while supporting from off-field. The Burst is worth leveling for its party healing; Normal Attacks can wait if she rarely uses them.
For maximum ascension, gather 420,000 Mora, 168 Jueyun Chili, 46 Quelled Creeper, 1 Nagadus Emerald Sliver, 9 Nagadus Emerald Fragment, 9 Nagadus Emerald Chunk and 6 Nagadus Emerald Gemstone. You also need 18 Slime Condensate, 30 Slime Secretions and 36 Slime Concentrate.
To maximize all three talents, gather 4,957,500 Mora, 9 Teachings of Diligence, 63 Guide to Diligence, 114 Philosophies of Diligence, 3 Crown of Insight and 18 Daka's Bell. The talents also need 18 Slime Condensate, 66 Slime Secretions and 93 Slime Concentrate.
Constellations worth it
Innocent (C2) and Beneficent are the standouts. At C2, radish explosions that hit opponents during Adeptal Legacy restore 3 Energy to Yaoyao, up to once every 0.8 seconds. That makes hitting enemies during her Burst useful for getting Energy back.
At C6, every two radishes thrown by Yuegui: Throwing Mode make its next throw release a Mega Radish as well. It has a larger area, deals Dendro damage based on 75% of Yaoyao's ATK, and heals the active character based on 7.5% of her Max HP. Each throwing Yuegui can release at most two Mega Radishes.
Adeptus' Tutelage is worth considering for a Dendro teammate: an active character in a radish explosion gains 15% Dendro DMG Bonus for 8 seconds. It also restores 15 Stamina, with a 5-second limit on that restoration. Loyal and Kind raises the Skill level, while Compassionate raises the Burst level. Winsome (C4) gives Yaoyao Elemental Mastery after her Skill or Burst. Those upgrades are less pressing for a healing-focused build and can be skipped.
Teams
Pair Yaoyao with an Electro character such as Fischl or Keqing for a team built around Dendro and Electro reactions. Nahida or Alhaitham can occupy another Dendro slot, while Kaedehara Kazuha or Sucrose can take an Anemo slot. Yaoyao supplies healing and Dendro without needing to stay on-field for most of the fight.
For a Bloom team, consider Yaoyao with Nilou, Xingqiu and Nahida. Xingqiu and Nilou provide Hydro alongside the two Dendro characters. Yaoyao's Burst gives the party a healing option when several members need help, though it asks for field time.
Common mistakes
Don't switch Yaoyao out immediately after Moonjade Descent if you need its healing. Adeptal Legacy ends when she leaves the field. Move near opponents during it to get the extra radishes from Starscatter.
Don't assume Yuegui from Raphanus Sky Cluster always targets an enemy. At 70% HP or less, a nearby character takes priority. Positioning matters if you need a radish explosion to reach someone or hit an opponent.
Don't neglect Energy Recharge if the Burst is often unavailable when you need it. With Favonius Lance, don't ignore CRIT Rate either: its particle effect needs a CRIT hit. For a healing build, keep HP in mind even when choosing a team-support set.
