Guide
How the kit works
Start with Yohual’s Scratch (E). Xilonen rushes forward, deals Geo damage based on DEF, gains 45 Nightsoul points and enters Nightsoul’s Blessing. Her three Source Samples start as Geo; each Pyro, Hydro, Cryo or Electro teammate changes one Sample to their element.
In a team with at least two changed Samples, hit enemies with Normal or Plunging Attacks from Ehecatl’s Roar (NA). Netotiliztli’s Echoes grants 35 Nightsoul points per hit, with a trigger interval of 0.1 seconds. When the points reach their maximum, Xilonen consumes them and activates all three Samples for 15 seconds. Samples of the same element do not stack.
Use Ocelotlicue Point! when you need its damage or healing. It deals AoE Geo damage based on DEF. With at least two changed Samples it heals the nearby active character at intervals; with fewer, it adds two Geo damage beats instead.
During Nightsoul’s Blessing, Normal Attacks become roller-blade kicks that deal Geo damage based on DEF, and Charged Attacks are unavailable. The Geo Sample is active during that state even before all Samples are activated. The state has a 9-second point limit, so land your hits promptly.
Build and why
Use four pieces of Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City for support. When Xilonen triggers a reaction involving Geo, the set grants a 12% Elemental DMG Bonus for the elements involved for 15 seconds. If she triggers it in Nightsoul’s Blessing, it grants another 28% for 20 seconds. The two-piece effect also restores 6 Energy when a nearby party member triggers a Nightsoul Burst.
Archaic Petra is another support option. Xilonen must obtain a Crystallize shard or trigger Lunar-Crystallize to give the party a 35% damage bonus for the relevant element for 10 seconds. For her own Geo damage and more DEF, consider Husk of Opulent Dreams instead.
Peak Patrol Song is the first weapon choice. Normal or Plunging Attack hits build its stacks, raising Xilonen’s DEF and giving the party an All Elemental DMG Bonus that scales with her DEF. Freedom-Sworn is another option: two reaction Sigils give nearby party members Song of Resistance for 12 seconds. Favonius Sword can generate Energy particles on CRIT Hits; give Xilonen some CRIT Rate to help trigger it.
Choose DEF Percentage on the sands or Energy Recharge if you need more Burst availability. Use DEF Percentage on the goblet, and DEF Percentage, Healing Bonus or CRIT Rate on the circlet. For substats, look for DEF Percentage and Energy Recharge first, then CRIT Rate, DEF and CRIT DMG.
Leveling priority
For a support build, level Yohual’s Scratch (E) first as a suggestion: it contains the Source Sample RES reduction that the team relies on. Level Ocelotlicue Point! next if you use its healing, then Ehecatl’s Roar (NA). Normal Attacks become more relevant if you want Xilonen to spend time dealing damage on-field.
For ascension, gather Brilliant Chrysanthemum, Gold-Inscribed Secret Source Core and the Prithiva Topaz Sliver, Fragment, Chunk and Gemstone materials. She also needs Sentry’s Wooden Whistle, Warrior’s Metal Whistle, Saurian-Crowned Warrior’s Golden Whistle and Mora.
Her talents use Teachings of Kindling, Guide to Kindling, Philosophies of Kindling, the same three whistle materials, Mirror of Mushin, Crown of Insight and Mora.
Constellations worth it
Chiucue Mix is the standout upgrade. Geo Source Samples remain active, and activated Samples give matching party members bonuses: 50% Geo DMG, 45% Pyro ATK, 45% Hydro Max HP or 60% Cryo CRIT DMG. The Electro effect restores 25 Energy and reduces Elemental Burst cooldown by 6 seconds.
For an on-field build, Imperishable Night Carnival is worth considering. Its five-second effect pauses the Nightsoul time limit, prevents point, Phlogiston and Stamina consumption, increases Normal and Plunging Attack damage by 300% of DEF, and heals nearby party members every 1.5 seconds. It can activate once every 15 seconds.
Tonalpohualli’s Loop (C3) adds three levels to Yohual’s Scratch (E), making it a useful support upgrade to consider. Sabbatical Phrase reduces point and Phlogiston consumption and gives the active character interruption resistance while Samples are active. Suchitl’s Trance (C4) has a limited number of attack damage increases, while Tlaltecuhtli’s Crossfade (C5) raises the Burst level. You can leave those upgrades aside if the base kit already does what your team needs.
Teams
For the healing and 15-second Sample activation, bring at least two teammates from Pyro, Hydro, Cryo or Electro. A Geo teammate can use the remaining Geo Sample, while the converted Samples support their matching elements. Xilonen cannot create Anemo or Dendro Samples.
Navia, Furina and Bennett are one team to try. Furina and Bennett change two Samples to Hydro and Pyro, leaving a Geo Sample for Navia. Xilonen can reduce RES to those elements and heal the active character with her Burst.
Neuvillette and Furina are another pairing to consider, with Kaedehara Kazuha in the remaining slot. The two Hydro characters still change two Samples, although their Hydro RES reductions do not stack. Mavuika, Xiangling, Yelan and Fischl are other teammates to consider according to the elements your team needs.
Common mistakes
Do not switch away after the Skill before reaching maximum Nightsoul points if you want the 15-second Sample activation. Hit enemies while the points are still available; after their time limit expires, Netotiliztli’s Echoes can no longer regenerate them in that state.
Do not expect the Burst to heal in a team with fewer than two changed Samples. Check the party before relying on Xilonen as its healer. Likewise, two Samples of the same element do not double their RES reduction.
Do not assume Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City gives its reaction bonus without Xilonen triggering the reaction. Trigger one involving Geo, and do it during Nightsoul’s Blessing for the set’s extra bonus. With Favonius Sword, ignoring CRIT Rate makes its particle effect harder to activate.
