Guide
How the kit works
A simple sequence starts with Guoba Attack. Xiangling summons Guoba, who repeatedly breathes fire and deals AoE Pyro DMG. Place him where opponents are within reach; Crossfire increases his flame range by 20%.
Use Pyronado when you are ready to attack, then switch to the character you want on the field. The rotating fire follows that character and deals Pyro DMG to opponents in its path. Move close enough for it to pass through them.
When Guoba disappears, Beware, It's Super Hot! leaves a chili pepper at that spot. Picking it up grants 10% ATK for 10 seconds. You can collect it with the character you want to use.
Dough-Fu (NA) gives Xiangling up to five consecutive spear strikes. Her Charged Attack consumes Stamina to lunge forward, and her Plunging Attack deals AoE damage on impact. Chef de Cuisine also gives her a 12% chance to produce double the result when she perfectly cooks an ATK-boosting dish.
Build and why
Use four pieces of Emblem of Severed Fate. Its two-piece bonus gives 20% Energy Recharge, and its four-piece bonus increases Elemental Burst DMG by 25% of Energy Recharge, up to 75%. Both bonuses suit a build centered on Pyronado.
Four pieces of Crimson Witch of Flames are an alternative for reaction teams: the set gives Pyro DMG Bonus and improves several Pyro reactions. Gilded Dreams is another option when reactions matter, giving Elemental Mastery and bonuses based on the elements of the other party members. For a mixed set, two pieces of Noblesse Oblige and two of Emblem of Severed Fate give Burst damage and Energy Recharge.
Choose Energy Recharge, Elemental Mastery or ATK Percentage on the sands, Pyro DMG Bonus on the goblet, and CRIT Rate or CRIT DMG on the circlet. For substats, prioritize Energy Recharge, then CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG, followed by Elemental Mastery and ATK Percentage. Elemental Mastery is useful when Xiangling triggers reactions.
Staff of the Scarlet Sands is the first weapon option. It converts 52% of Elemental Mastery into bonus ATK; Elemental Skill hits grant a further 28% conversion per stack for 10 seconds, up to three stacks. Engulfing Lightning converts Energy Recharge above the base 100% into ATK and grants 30% Energy Recharge for 12 seconds after a Burst.
"The Catch" is a strong four-star option that increases Elemental Burst DMG by 16% and its CRIT Rate by 6%. Favonius Lance is worth considering for Energy: CRIT Hits have a 60% chance to generate particles that restore 6 Energy to the character, once every 12 seconds.
Leveling priority
A good leveling order is Pyronado, then Guoba Attack, then Dough-Fu (NA). The Burst is the focus of this build and continues to hit while another character is active. Guoba also deals Pyro damage, while Xiangling does not need to spend much time using spear attacks in this setup.
For maximum character ascension, you need 420,000 Mora, 168 Jueyun Chili and 46 Everflame Seed. You also need 1 Agnidus Agate Sliver, 9 Agnidus Agate Fragment, 9 Agnidus Agate Chunk and 6 Agnidus Agate Gemstone, plus 18 Slime Condensate, 30 Slime Secretions and 36 Slime Concentrate.
Maxing all three skills takes 4,957,500 Mora, 9 Teachings of Diligence, 63 Guide to Diligence, 114 Philosophies of Diligence and 3 Crown of Insight. It also takes 18 Slime Condensate, 66 Slime Secretions, 93 Slime Concentrate and 18 Dvalin's Claw. Those skill materials are separate from the ascension totals.
Constellations worth it
Slowbake (C4) is the standout upgrade: it increases the duration of Pyronado by 40%. That gives the rotating fire more time to hit opponents while you play another character.
Deepfry (C3) is a useful earlier upgrade because it adds three levels to Pyronado. Crispy Outside, Tender Inside is also worth considering: Guoba's hits reduce an opponent's Pyro RES by 15% for 6 seconds, helping Pyro damage against that target.
Condensed Pyronado gives all party members 15% Pyro DMG Bonus during Pyronado, which is useful alongside another Pyro damage dealer. Oil Meets Fire relies on the last hit of Xiangling's Normal Attack sequence, while Guoba Mad raises Guoba Attack by three levels. Neither is as directly focused on the Burst as C3 or C4. Constellations unlock in order, so you cannot literally skip one on the way to a later upgrade.
Teams
Xiangling gives these teams Pyro damage without requiring her to stay on the field. Her Burst follows the active character, so positioning that character determines whether its path reaches the opponents.
Common mistakes
Do not ignore Energy Recharge in favor of damage stats alone. Emblem of Severed Fate rewards that stat, and having your Burst ready regularly matters for this build. If Energy is a problem, reconsider your sands, substats or weapon.
Do not summon Guoba too far from the fight or stay outside the path of Pyronado. Guoba needs opponents within his flame range, and the rotating fire must pass through a target to hit it. Watch where the chili pepper falls if you want its ATK bonus.
Do not spend your early talent materials on Normal Attacks just because Xiangling uses a Polearm. For the Burst-focused setup, leveling Pyronado before Guoba Attack and Dough-Fu (NA) is a good way to direct those materials toward the attacks you use most.
