      Where do the materials come from?

      They are Honkai: Star Rail's ascension and talent materials, from our character data. We leave out items more than half of the characters use, since they give nothing away.

      Why does the first item fit several characters?

      It is meant to. Each new item narrows it down until only one character is left.

      When is the next puzzle?

      Every day at midnight UTC. Everyone gets the same one that day.

      Which characters can be the answer?

      Playable Honkai: Star Rail characters already in the game, without the extra forms of the main character, whose element changes. A new character can become an answer a few weeks after release, because the puzzles are set in advance.
